Job description

The Logistics Coordinator of Fashion & Apparel operations is responsible for assisting in the management of the performance of the RNA selected 3PL providing logistics and distribution services to Chloe and Alfred Dunhill fashion and accessories brands.This position acts as a main link between RNA Logistics operations and the aforementioned brands, and the 3PL.

The position will assist in the process execution of the 3PL ensuring conformance to established SAP eWM processes, and expected quality standards.

Inbound Responsibilities:

Maintain standard Inbound Reporting based on pre-alerts received from Freight Forwarders.Record HAWB#, expected flight arrival, carton and unit count, and date shipment clears customs.
Communicate Inbound reporting to pertinent parties by outlining the status of shipments and daily units processed.
Highlight any potential delays due to missing information required in order to clear customs.
Monitor inbound activity within eWM to ensure that 3PL is processing merchandise receipts within SLA.Make call-outs to 3PL for any outliers requiring timely resolution.
Partner with brands to understand any high priority inbound shipments.Provide clear direction to 3PL to prioritize and to expedite from goods receipt to final put-away.
Coordinate special inbound flow activity with 3PL.
Provide follow-up communication to any Brand inquiries.

Outbound Responsibilities:

On a daily basis, monitor all open outbound orders by running an “Open Outbound” report from eWM.From report, be able to provide clear follow-up to the brands about what is expected to be shipped, routed, and processed on a daily basis.
Identify any outbound orders that are outside the SLA.Provide follow-ups in order for 3PL to take action.
Maintain on the open outbound delivery report as to when shipments are routed and ensure they are shipped and invoiced in a timely manner.
Research potential outliers such as outbound orders that have shipped but have not been invoiced within SAP.Partner with 3PL to ensure timely action on such issues.
Assist the brands with priority orders.Communicate such priorities and other time sensitive tasks to 3PL.Follow-thru on all priorities to ensure completion as expected.
Assist 3PL in resolution of any problem outbound delivery orders that cannot be processed into eWM, past cancel dates, cancellation, and other potential issues.
Research shortage and overage claims and if required, communicate to 3PL for further research.Provide proof of delivery when requested.
Maintain records pertaining to shipping quality issues such as shortages/overages, mis-ships, and missing cartons.
Start freight claims on carrier’s website and partner with Transportation for follow-up and completion of claims.
Overall general communication with both the Brands and the 3PL pertaining to outbound delivery order management.

Routing of Outbound Orders:

Provide support to the 3PL for any issues experienced during the routing process on customer web-based portals.This can include missing information such as MIDs, quantity differences, price discrepancies, and cancellations.
Follow-up with both brands and customers as necessary to expedite the routing process for any priorities such as new product launches, season ending cancelations dates, as well as end of month shipping.

Returns Processing:

Run an open Return Authorization report for any open customer returns that have not been processed by the 3PL.Communicate to the 3PL on a weekly basis to ensure returns are being processed in a timely manner.
Provide support to 3PL in researching and resolving issues with customer returns.
Communicate to 3PL for any urgent returns that need to be processed as per Brands.

Key-User Responsibilities:

Support the F&A Logistics Manager in systems and operational enhancements to SAP eWM leading continuous improvement efforts for the timely distribution of Chloe and Alfred Dunhill products.
Become the SAP transactional expert as it relates to the fashion and accessories business.
Participate in the on-going testing regarding new developments as well as potentials regression within SAP.

Available to participate with ad hoc projects and priorities as needed.


  • At least 2 years Associate’s degree from a higher education institute
  • The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience in the logistics and distribution environment of fashion and apparel products
  • The ideal candidate should have experience within a 3PL logistics environment either as a direct employee of a 3PL or experience in communicating with a 3PL as an external customer
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (i.e. warehouse operations, brand partners/merchants ETC)
  • Results oriented with strong planning and execution skills 
  • Effective communication with all levels of operations and management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and people orientated approach
  • Ability to work semi-autonomously with proven time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner
  • Travel up to 25% to NY Office
Technical Skills / Abilities:
  • PC literate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience a plus (R/3, WM, eWM, order entry)
