Manage employment activities for applicable staff members, including personnel recruitment and selection, performance evaluations, training, compensation, discipline, termination, etc. Maintain accurate records of department activities including, but not limited to, labor schedules, course maintenance, construction activities, equipment repair, safety meetings and activities, fertilizer and chemical applications, and pest control practices. Assure the efficient and timely submission of all required operational, financial, budget, and related reports. Qualifications: Two or four-year degree/certificate in a related field preferred or equivalent experience; at least four-plus years of golf course maintenance experience in agronomy or turf grass sciences or golf course superintendent certification. Irrigation experience is preferred. A working knowledge of golf construction principles, practices, and methods and a thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of the game of golf. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership qualities, and administrative and executive ability, especially in problem-solving and decision-making. Requires current state licensing as a pesticide applicator or ability to obtain within 90 days (about 3 months). Requires knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting the management of the golf course operations - including employment, safety regulations, and environmental standards and rules. Duties & Responsibilities: Greet customers and provide information about all Nordic Center offerings, including lessons, rentals, and retail products Teach and assist guests in Nordic skiing techniques appropriate to their skill level Manage sales transactions, lesson reservations, and rental agreements using the POS system Issue and return rental equipment, ensuring proper fit and function Occasionally assist with trail maintenance and outdoor setup as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Strong communication and customer service skills Nordic experience preferred Ability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and during peak periods Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in winter conditions Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching Experience using a POS system preferred
