The position will partner with the business to provide a white glove service and drive business improvements in reporting, data integrity, analysis, and projects with direct access to the Executive Leadership Team.
Other parts of the role include:- Coaching and mentoring the Senior Accountant- Managing the month end close process and maintaining the monthly close checklist- Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and ensure overall health of financials- Managing the relationship with a third party accounting team- Working with Melville A/R Team to maintain the health of Accounts Receivable- Overall responsibility for recording BECCA.com e-Commerce activity and processing consumer refunds as necessary- Acting as a business partner with Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Creative and Visual Merchandising Teams to drive financial education, outcomes and manage accruals- Assisting the Brand Controller and Executive Director of FP&A with budgeting and variance analysis- Responding to internal and external audit requests- Preparing supporting worksheet as requested for company tax returns- Ad hoc projects as required
- Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred- 5 years or more in a consumer products company - Proven solid analytical skills and US GAAP technical accounting knowledge- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment- Good communication, written, and interpersonal skills- Demonstrates leadership ability/potential- Self-starter with willingness to work hands-on, independently, as well as with a group - Dedicated and detail oriented- Proficient with Microsoft office functions in particular Word and Excel- Experience with NetSuite and Concur a plus
