JOB MISSION:The Apparel Merchandising & Retail DTC Merchandising Associate Manager is a dual function role serving the Latin America region. As the apparel merchandiser, primary responsibilities include determining and defining the regional apparel directed assortment, the channel/key account capacity, forecast and system management, strategy input documents, key account storytelling, distributor engagement, regional apparel production management, go to market planning, SKU efficiency and profitability. Additionally, this role is responsible for footwear and apparel assortment planning and visual merchandising for Latin America regional stores. You will work across countries with our distributor partners to plan, train, and execute objectives.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:BRAND
- Promote product commerciality with a constant focus on brand integrity
- Maintain awareness of competition and brand-relevant trends
- Build and continually update a knowledge base of product assortments and key itemsBUSINESS
- Directed Assortment planning for LATAM, including:
- Development of channel specific Directed Assortments
- Managing and refining the Directed Assortment & Must Land product for tiers and channels of distribution, identify longer term implications, and needs.
- Drive Style efficiency with focus on key KPI's of sales, margin, and turn
- Drive consumer and customer insights on product on behalf of the needs of the regions retail partners
- Interpret and proactively react to seasonal selling trends: grow future opportunities while mitigating risk
- Develop strong partnership with product teams: gain understanding of product details and share channel/market/region needs
- Manage regional licensee's production plans, Including: line planning, product approval, tech pack management
- Manage and communicate execution calendar with storesPRODUCT ASSORTMENT PLANNING AND MERCHANDISING
- Manage regional Footwear and Apparel DTC (Retail and ecommerce) Assortment planning
- Drive brand and merchandising consistency through all owned DTC retail locations
- Support store teams with the execution and maintenance of seasonal direction
- Create compelling, on-brand, and globally relevant in-store merchandise presentations through effective product placement
- Ensure seasonal ISC strategies and visual elements are implemented according to global and regional guidelines
- Provide insights on future floor set activity, tools and seasonal POV to the global visual merchandising team
- Work with the store management teams to adapt in-store visual and window display presentations while maintaining brand integrity
- Develop and deploy brand guidelines in a wholesale/shop in shop environment
- Provide ongoing feedback to stores on visual strengths and opportunitiesRELATIONSHIPS
- Partner with marketing to ensure support on key models and franchises
- Influence and collaborate with distributors and partners on SKU adoption and investments that align to current season brand focus
- Partner with region/market level retail operations to develop actionable plans that will improve business performance
