A role with Target Promotions Marketing means that you’ll be part of a team that leads Target’s Value communication strategy and brings holistic promotional and value stories to life for Target’s guests. The team has a broad range of responsibilities including strategy planning & development, creative, execution and production. Promotions Marketing leverages a variety of print and digital media and is responsible for Target’s Weekly Ad, Digital Weekly Ad, Print Promotions, In-store Promotional Signing and Printing Services.
As an Art Director Weekly Ad, you will art/photo direct, concept and design content for Target Weekly Ad and Target Promotions. You’ll think conceptually, strategically and work effectively across different platforms. You’ll execute projects by designing and/or photo art directing and overseeing production details. You will be expected to multi-task and collaborate seamlessly as well as work as part of a team. Finally, you’ll stay passionate and ahead of the latest fashion, home and beauty industry trends. - 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience
- 2 - 5 years of professional experience or relevant skills
- Creative Portfolio demonstrating Target brand expectations
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Desire and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to establish rapport with peers
- Familiarity working with HTML, AfterEffects, and APIs a plus
- Solid understanding of the world of web graphics, including image optimization, file size and type, and font use
- Experience developing social media deliverables and content across social platforms
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic interactive design skills
