Assistant Manager, Consumer Engagement

We seek an Assistant Manager, Consumer Engagement responsible for supporting the Manager, Consumer Engagement in the development and execution of all materials that animate the brand across consumer media touchpoints, including both paid media and organic social media. The Assistant Manager, Consumer Engagement will play a key role coordinating organic and paid programs across the broader integrated Marketing team - including the PR/Influencer, Trade Marketing, Media and external agency teams - to ensure seamless execution and to help drive strategic media investment, paid amplification and the relationship between brand/influencer/UGC content. They will also manage the Rimmel social media ecosystem, and drive growth with an insight-to-action mindset.

The Assistant Manager, Consumer Engagement is highly attuned to the competitive environment, pop culture, and social media platforms, and can synthesize that knowledge with an understanding of the brand to create impactful and relevant brand content. They have a sharp eye for creative, are detail-oriented, have high-quality standards and can manage complexity across numerous stakeholders to deliver results on time with excellence. Experience with and a passion for beauty and social media is essential.


In this role you will be responsible for:


  • Support Manager with day-to-day execution of paid media plans, including briefing local media asset development, managing custom content partnerships and providing comprehensive creative feedback through finalization. Lead creation of eCommerce retail media assets and ad-hoc media assets.
  • Support Manager in developing paid media tactical briefs and managing launch timelines.
  • Partner cross-functionally, and with influencer team, media team to assist with all media and agency-related needs.
  • Share campaign specifics and launch updates (screenshots, live links, videos, etc.) with broader Brand Marketing team
  • Assist Manager in identifying potential partnerships and consumer activation opportunities

  • Assist Manager with day-to-day management of social media agency and all Rimmel social media platforms, inclusive of TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook
  • Help plan and manage monthly content calendar, including creative assets, copywriting, model imagery, IG Reels, TikToks, creative briefs and paid influencer content.
  • Assist Manager in monitoring performance, in partnership with the social agency, and providing strategic-based recommendations and optimizations to drive acceleration and growth
  • Partner with Trade Marketing on planning account-specific tagging and messaging needs.
  • Review UGC and creator content on a weekly basis for reposting and engagement purposes
  • Aid and influence community management in partnership with global CG and RM agencies

  • Assist in the creation of 360 launch and support plans and liase with all teams (trade, e-commerce, etc) to coordinate execution.
  • Partner within larger Advocacy team to create a digital buzz strategy for all launches and to support ongoing brand storytelling. Collaborate with Digital and Brand Marketing teams to maximize brand and event digital chatter.
  • Initiate inventive ways to use new media and successful social channel strategies and events that align clearly to brand DNA and objectives.
  • Closely monitor and report on competitive and industry trends, activations and news, and recommend real-time actions for CG + RM teams
  • Partner with Senior Manager, Digital Strategy and Manager, Consumer Engagement to leverage insights and social listening to glean consumer insights and propose actions to that have multi-faceted impact, from product development to campaign activations to crowd-sourcing

We'd love to see candidates who have:

  • 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Communications or Related Field
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Social/Digital background with understanding of advocacy and influencer marketing
  • Paid media understanding, including relationship between earned and paid and social platform expertise
  • Beauty/fashion experience preferred
  • Seeks out and leverages data into insights into action for short and long term results

    Base Salary Range: $83,000-$90,000 + bonus
