Job description

Fossil Group is searching for an Assistant Brand Manager to support the Michael Kors connected watch business. The Assistant Brand Manager partners with the brand manager in the development of business plans, sales objectives, profit plans and operations for Michael Kors. This person will be accountable for managing and driving business functionality needs of our subsidiaries and licensors to meet sales, marketing, and distribution goals on a domestic and international level. This star candidate will have a strong knowledge of connected products/tech, assortment planning, marketing strategies, and product development with outstanding communication skills, ability to multitask, strong prioritization skills, and strong analytical skills.
Job responsibilities include:
- Business Strategies: Support the business strategy development and implementation of key initiatives to support the category
- Sales/ Budgeting: lead sales meetings & provide global guidance tailored to each regional markets needs
- Inventory Management/Planning: global assortment & lifecycle management; partner with planning & supply chain teams on immediate inventory needs and allocation; monitor flow of inventory and timeliness of new product introductions
- Marketing: partner with the marketing & PD teams on all operational marketing activities (fixtures, packaging, digital & in store assets, etc.)
- Product: Analyze and provide feedback on retail sales and shipping; lead product introductions, education and marketing initiatives for subsidiaries, North America sales team and distributors; manage global pricing with a focus on meeting margin objectives;responsible for competitive market analysis to provide regional product assortments. Manage creation and distribution of all GTM materials and training tools. Includes category sample management.
- License Reports: manage global quarterly sales, inventory, customer and marketing reports submission/analysis with Licensing Team
- Communication & Cross functional partnerships: Be the category expert and project manager for all things Connected. interface directly with licensor, regional merchants, sales teams, sr management and all cross functional internal teams (design, pd, supply chain, planning, marketing, photo studio/DI team, etc)

Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of merchandising, brand planning, or buying experience
- Minimum 3+ years of account management responsibility
- Success in building collaborative partnerships
- Experience driving business forward
- Self-starter with strong project management skills
- Retail selling analysis experience required
- Proficient Microsoft office with Excel, Google Enterprise products
- SAP experience is a plus
