In this role, you'll plan, schedule and manage finished goods inventory to meet customer demand requirements. This 100% on-site position entails taking responsibility for production plans, inventory results, and customer service for designated product groups at all production locations. This position steers inventory per the essential Supply Chain Planning parameters including production frequency, lead times, capacity, and related planning horizons. The Associate Global Supply Chain Planner will interface with Merchandising, Demand Planners, Product Development, Contract Manufacturers, Customer Service, Sourcing, Transportation, Suppliers, and other key stakeholders on a day to day basis. You will plan and arrange your own work to accomplish objectives and manage complex problems under the guidance of their manager.

Job Scope:

  • Accountable for planning, executing, tracking, managing and communicating all aspects of the supply plan needed to support the customer demand plan and achieve the desired KPI's for Customer Service levels and inventory turns for assigned product groups. Support front-line service providers to deliver consistent quality product and customer service.
  • Develop strong relationships inside and outside the organization including Business Units, demand planners, sourcing team leads, product development leads, account services, finance, transportation, distribution, quality, vendors, etc.
  • Understand Jockey's functional roles and the communication flow needed to drive the business. Participate in cross functional team meetings. Keep the BU's advised of the supply chain capabilities and requirements as well as the production status of key product initiatives. Keep the Operations Teams and Jockey's supply partners advised of all BU requirements and the relative significance of each initiative. Collaborate across the supply chain to improve efficiencies.
  • Partner with Sourcing team to understand and follow the sourcing strategies for each of the assigned product groups. Understand Jockey's supply chain capabilities and limitations through collaboration with sourcing and vendors. Share with the BU's and work to achieve best possible solution for matching supply with demand.
  • Jointly with Sourcing, actively support the Supplier Relationship Programs. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the global practices where business is conducted. Provide effective communication in conjunction with contractor projections and supplier performance expectations. Communicate in a professional, proactive manner to build strong relations to build a cost efficient and agile supply chain.
  • Prepare monthly production/capacity plans that align with the sourcing strategies for each product group. Work with manager to review planning methodologies and problem resolution. Prepare monthly vendor projections and material commitments. Communicate to assigned vendors following each production plan. Monitor and track all material liabilities.
  • Issue Finished Goods PO's in accordance with aggregate supply plan and planning lead times to meet desired inventory levels and customer service targets by SKU. Assist other Planners on PO maintenance as needed.
  • Work with Sourcing and vendors to manage MOQ/MCQ's to meet Jockey's business needs and to maintain up to date data on the Quality Portal. Understand the manufacturing processes driving each MOQ/MCQ for potential exceptions and/or surcharges.
  • Prioritize production as needed to support the demand plan or due to manufacturing delays. Review and respond to PSA's in a timely manner. Work with BU's/Transportation to evaluate expedited freight options where necessary.
  • Effectively utilize all available resources to plan, track and manage demand, supply and inventory to achieve desired results. This includes all available systems, reports, coworkers, manager, vendors, etc.
  • Know and understand the business processes within the department. Follow guidelines as documented to ensure compliance. Participate in process improvement projects as requested.
Candidate Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of supply chain management and planning experience for a reputed, global or or multi-plant CPG company
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business, or relevant field desired. Minimum of Associates degree.
  • Experience with site capacity planning and/or global product supply planning. Knowledge of apparel sales and operations planning processes are desired.
  • Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably JDA).
  • Exposure to (or experience in) apparel manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly cooperative teamwork environment and provide timely and effective communication on the status of production. Occasional travel to production locations may be required, as well as extended work hours as needed.

  • Ability to create and foster a team-based environment to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with individuals contacted during the course of work.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments.
