L.L.Bean is currently searching for an Associate Product Manager to join the Product and Promotions Marketing team located in Freeport, Maine.

Job description

Position Purpose:

The Associate Product Manager will play a critical role in the advancement of L.L.Bean's lifecycle marketing and service communication efforts across digital channels, working to maximize the value of customer technology investments. This role will work with the development team and key stakeholders to optimize and enhance email and mobile communication product(s) in line with business objectives and customer needs. This cross-functional role is designed for a marketing technology enthusiast with an analytical and technical background and a passion for building exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the org to inform and advocate for opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive business value
  • Advocates for exceptional customer experiences, leveraging CX insights and web analytics tools (Google Analytics) to surface questions to the Analytics team that drive insights informing the roadmap
  • Develops product roadmap, working with leader and stakeholders
  • Manages and prioritizes the product backlog, soliciting input from stakeholders, securing approvals, and ensuring product priorities are understood by all
  • Leads epic prioritization and user story creation, partnering with business analyst to develop meaningful user stories with clear, measurable acceptance criteria
  • Partners with email vendors to ensure alignment across internal and external partners
  • Participates in stakeholder reviews and ensures development team can demonstrate value-add work completed
  • Communicates product enhancements and results to stakeholders

Profile

Skills & Qualifications:
  • BA/BS or equivalent, preferably in a technical or quantitative discipline

  • 3-5 years work experience with relevant product management experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in GA360, Tableau, SQL and other analytics tools preferred

  • Strong understanding of retail industry domains, both from a customer and a technical perspective

  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies, Agile/Scrum preferred

  • Ability to conceptualize the opportunities and uses of new technology with the context of business and customer needs

  • Experience working with marketing technology vendors, ESPs preferred

  • Excellent communication skills - able to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of audiences

  • Highly organized and proactive in finding (sometimes creative) solutions to issues

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adhere to deadlines

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment
