Job description

The ED is responsible for leading sales and achieving profitability targets nationally for salons throughout the US. This will be done by executing with excellence the Go to Market Strategy and Action Plans for the salons, driving the team overseeing the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships with salons, the execution of seasonal brand plans/promotional calendars and events that will drive enthusiasm and engagement with the consumer. The ED will ensure the teams are focused on consumer facing activities and growing market share for Aveda. Will be responsible for all aspects of running a Field Sales team including hiring, supervising, education, coaching, discipline and motivation of direct reports and Salon Development Partners. Responsible for building and leading a new business development team to achieve sales targets. Responsible for partnering with Vice President, Salons to execute field sales strategy for Aveda North America. Drive Sales and Profitability Targets in US: 40% of time Leads Directors and sales teams by ensuring excellence in execution of the Aveda Go to Market strategy for the salon channel. Increases market share by achieving sales objectives and implementing education and marketing strategies. Strategically partners with leadership of key salon owner/leadership to drive business and maximize market share. Enables the creation of Joint Business Plans Directs and supports the consistent implementation of Brand and ELC company initiatives. Evaluates sales performance against investment and is accountable for profitable achievement of sales for US. Collaborate with Regional Education, Partner Relationships, Marketing, Sales and Promotions Planning, Merchandising and Finance/Strategy sharing appropriate consumer and sales information as the voice of the US field salons. Collaborates with Global team. Keep abreast of ELC/industry sales techniques and apply learnings in US as appropriate. Design annual sales strategy including building blocks and specific areas of focus; i.e. top market/top doors Develop and update retail and net-budget estimates across NA and identifies risk and opportunities to delivery of budget and latest estimates. Establish sales objectives by forecasting annual sales goals for region and territories. Maintain Consumer Experience 30% of time Understand the needs of the changing consumer in by brand, region and markets. Collaborates with Marketing to create field action plans to differentiate brand in region amongst competitors. Maintains a consumer -centric service focus amongst all salons in the region. Understand competitive offers and strategies to elevate the consumer experience. Lead the implementation of Consumer Engagement strategies to drive clients to salons and maximize client loyalty through service experiences. Ensure appropriate utilization of COEs by teams to better support and enable focus on consumer by teams. Develop Staff: 30% of time. Provides direction to Directors ensuring corporate objectives are communicated and met. Leads by example and creates a culture of accountability. Role models and teaches the ability to influence others, be resilient, build great relationships and close the sale. Leverages sales methodology, coaching tools, etc to coach and develop the team Leads staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, developing and appraising performance. Partners with Human Resources. Develop the talent and capabilities through accompanying salon visits, regular management meetings and one-on-ones to help others strive for excellence and reach their highest level of contribution. Actively seeks feedback from stakeholders (e.g. salon owners) and prioritize the need to identify and develop the capabilities within the team. Champion of brand field culture and protection of brand equity at the point of sale. Constant elevation of the execution and skills of the Field team. Aid in the education of salons on leveraging digital/ social network tools to extend reach, improve pace and increase relevance Partner with North America education teams to develop and host relevant brand, product, and skills seminars.

- Strong sales leadership experience with proven results in driving sales growth and profitability. - Able to lead, inspire and motivate a large, geographically dispersed sales team and establish a clear sales vision build top talent for competitive advantage. - Deep understanding and appreciation for brand equity and relevance -maintaining brand pride and quality in all interactions. - Understanding of brand products and the attributes that drive consumer purchasing behavior. - Strong communication skills to represent the voice of the Field and capture consumer and field learnings to communicate to relevant stakeholders. - Strong understand of the salon industry, and the landscape of the business. - Proven ability to lead large scale business transformation work - Needs to voice/POV represents the field need at Headquarters
