Job description

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Storytelling is the soul of Nike, and Brand Narrative is the team responsible for bringing this soul to life through the voice of our athletes*. As Brand Narrative Manager, you'll join Nike's world-renowned Brand Creative team passionate about inspiring NYC consumers to "Make Sport a Daily Habit."
Working closely with our Brand Narrative Director, Art Direction team, Creative Operations, and Agency partners you will concept, create and deliver creative campaigns across all channels. From Brand to sport to cultural moments you will elevate the voice of our athletes*, drive narrative excellence and deliver consistent messaging for all consumer touchpoints.
Whether concepting for traditional or emerging mediums, you'll be responsible for end-to-end development including, but not limited to; brand strategy, story architecture, film, photo, audio and editorial content. In each medium, you will ensure that the Nike NYC story is crafted, thoughtfully delivered, and encourages and enables consumers to take up sport.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Steward end-to-end creative development of premium and impactful storytelling, from conceptualization to content/asset creation for key brand stories.
- Develop and deliver multidisciplinary creative campaigns and assets in partnership with external and internal creative partners, ensuring work delivers against the strategic brief and is creatively outstanding.
- Identify new partners and collaborators, that align with Nike's vision, and partner with them to develop new and inspiring ways to deliver our stories.
- Work in a consumer-led, end-in-mind manner to determine the elements that will best deliver the creative idea across both the traditional and digital landscape, as well as in new and emerging methods of engaging with consumers, ensuring the work is inspiring, impactful, and innovative.
- Partner with external agencies on projects in a manner that is inspiring, inclusive, and respectful, while delivering outstanding work.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
Partnering with the Sr Creative Director, Brand Narrative Director, Studio Marketing teammates (across Art Direction, and Operations/Production) and the larger creative team across our Global, geography, and City studios, colleagues across the Brand and Direct Marketing groups, key business functions like Legal, Business Affairs, and Finance, and external agency partners.

Profile

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work/education experience.
- A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture.
- 6+ years leading strategic and creative development in advertising, editorial, journalism, or branded content with a publisher, agency, or consumer brand with youth and irreverent focus.
- A portfolio of written and visual creative campaigns on digital platforms, displaying a distinct voice and showcasing an experienced command of style and tone.
- Understanding of writing within a brand organization, and how to translate business priorities into highly engaging, consumer-facing content.
- Ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills, and distill complex concepts and ideas into easily understandable points of view.
- Proficient in research, reporting, interviewing, writing, and editing for a wide variety of audiences and formats.
- Understanding of content platforms and how to best apply each to target specific audiences.
- Strong time management with the ability to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to identifying and acting on ways to improve the work.
- Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills.
- Ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining strategic clarity and creative brilliance.
