Job description

The North America Business Operations Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of Analysts who are accountable for the management of Nike and Converse cash applications and customer payments (banking). We are looking for a leader to manage the team and align their performance with key strategic goals and metrics of the North America Customer Finance (NACF) Department. You will supervise and track processes to ensure activities are performed within Nike compliance policies. As a member of the leadership team, you will lead by example, providing leadership to all team members, as well as providing coaching, mentorship, and resources for career development! You will promote Nike's diversity and inclusion initiatives and act to promote the Nike culture. You will also lead process improvement initiatives and projects across NACF.
In this role, you will analyze data and information using intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and SAP/JBA while providing training and sharing findings.
You'll Utilize NACF tools and reports including the Daily Worklist Report, Hit Rate Analysis (SAP/High Radius), and EFT file transmission reports. With your oversight and expertise, you'll help the team eliminate transactional/non-value-added work through identifying trends and preventing customer payments from automatically posting.
You and the team, will directly influence hit rate and external file transmission(s); things to consider: Customers to adopt payment remittance guidelines to reduce exception(s) requiring manual research and resolution; issues impacting electronic file transmission(s) processing automatically; High Radius performance.
You will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME)! We hope to find someone with proven experience crafting key performance indicators (KPI's). Someone who can optimally work on our Customer Finance, Cash Application, Banking Receipts, and Nike.net Online Financial Services.
You will supervise our Software Solution vendor(s) performance while ensuring service is aligned with the service contract as it relates to cash receipts through accurate and timely account/banking posting and monitoring. You'll optimize the efficiency of our cash application and banking processes through improvements and automation.
You have a knack for translating data into significant insights and trends. You will partner with cross-functional teammates and executive leadership to provide visibility into key areas around Nike's financial metrics, cash receipts, applications, and software solutions.
You'll help define and develop the vision and strategy for NACF and align the team's resources and activities to Nike's/Converse and NACF's critical initiatives. You will be expected to lead process and/or organizational improvement initiatives.
You'll ensure adherence to policy and regulatory requirements individually, as well as holding team members responsible.
We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and will help us maintain a pulse on the industry/market. You always stay on top of the nuances between the different market segments (e.g.: seasonality, key sporting events, events impacting payment ability etc.) and proactively cascade information to employees and leadership.
In this role, you'll demonstrate leadership in developing and encouraging collaborative partnerships, build strong customer relationships, and provide quality customer service.
You will partner with internal NACF partners, Nike Sales and Operations teams, and the Legal team to understand account's status and strategic importance, and secure against risk.
As a supervisor, you will ensure monthly 1:1s (check-ins, status updates, issues, help needed, provide resources and support to help with individual development, etc.) and quarterly development discussions with all employees while documenting performance issues and sharing real-time updates with Directors.


- BA/BS Degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting, or other related field
- 5-10 years of work experience in Financial Operations, A/R, Accounting/Audit, Supply Chain, or other related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills in prior role(s), including ability to motivate direct reports
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP preferred
- Skillful ability to lead, develop, coach, drive and inspire a team
- Effective verbal & written communication skills
- Compelling use of storytelling to influence & engage others
- Ability to adapt and lead through times of cha
