The Business Process Improvement Manager is an effective leader, problem solver, committed to using Business Process Methodologies (BPM) to improve the productivity and engagement of the organization through better processes, tools and thinking.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented. This individual has a unique blend of retail business knowledge, BPM skills, project management skills, and technical knowledge.

Profile

The ideal candidate will...
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand the problem to solve, map business capabilities and processes, and assess areas for improvement using Lean methodologies.

  • Drive process improvements through constant, iterative review of processes ensuring solutions meet current and future business objectives

  • Use industry standard methodologies to conduct root cause analysis formulating problem statements, process assessments and a plan for improvement

  • Facilitate development of cross-functional business solutions that combine knowledge of business processes and issues, general technological options and process improvement facilitation techniques

  • Collaborate with Technology groups as a process expert capturing requirements for technology solutions, implementing solutions that enhance merchant experience and meet business requirements/processes

  • Lead process design or improvement sessions with business end users providing them adequate support and training in Lean methodologies


You own this if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, industrial engineering or related field


  • 4+years of experience with demonstrated, comprehensive knowledge of Lean methodologies and tools including Kaizen, A3, Daily Management System, Visual Controls, Process Mapping/Measurement and Leader Standard Work

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive change in a complex environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build relationships and influence without authority

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, presentation and listening

  • Strong organization and project management skills including creating and managing a project plan and timeline both within a team and across project partners.

  • Executed and driven projects to completion in a timely manner and worked collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the enterprise

  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organization levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are required

  • Demonstrated the ability to work with minimal required supervision and direction


Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Certification from an accredited organization.

  • Have participated in/or led transformational organization change

  • Applied Lean application in an office environment or merchandising field
