Job description

Macy's is looking for an experienced Manager Business Solutions, ideally with experience in building solutions within a dynamic work environment and with exceptional communication skills. This role is a critical member of the Selling and Customer Experience team as we strive to drive change within our organization. You are a great fit if you have strong, proven analytical skills and a passion for using data to make informed decisions. You thrive on communicating data in an accessible, business-centric way. The Senior Manager of Business Solutions is a key technical partner for the Stores and Contact Center organization. The ideal candidate also has experience working with cross-functional teams, driving a data-driven culture, and you're passionate about solving complicated problems.

Essential Functions
Our goal is to change how the company interacts with data. The Manager of Business Solutions will build focused and actionable products that strive to help leaders use data to make decisions that drive the business.
- Work with Director to take the larger team vision and break it into small vertical deliverables of user value and communicate those deliverables
- Work with partners and Director, to build products based on user stories and turn into workable solutions
- Analyze and investigate shifts in performance across a global footprint of operations
- Collaborate with enterprise data with a focus on Stores and Contact Center to bridge supply chain, merchants and others parts of the organization
- Partner with the Selling and Customer Experience team to ensure alignment on measurement approach and needed post-launch reporting and/or dashboards
- The Manager Business Solutions must be a strong communicator and able to make data and analysis understandable and compelling to all levels of the organization
- Identify key opportunities and be able to ask the questions to challenge original assumptions
- Present findings and recommendations to business and non-technical stakeholders
- Work closely with the Selling and Customer Experience team to ensure thoughtful and cohesive approaches to design, development and other recommendations, as needed

Profile

Data driven mindset with degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics or 2+ years of relevant work experience in analyzing large, multi-dimensional data sets and synthesizing data insights into actionable recommendations.

- Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
- Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
- Fluent and experienced in SQL and Excel.
- Experience with a statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python), visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau, or ability to learn quickly on the job.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work successfully with teams of varied levels and across disciplines and geographic locations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
- Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required.
