Job description

Title: Compensation Partner, Business Tech
Overall Job Summary: The Compensation Partner, Business Tech will be responsible for managing compensation programs and initiatives for H&M's Business Tech group across the US. In partnership with the Global Business Tech Compensation and Benefits Team, you are a key leader in influencing, developing and implementing the local compensation strategy for Business Tech, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
This position is based in NY, NY or Secaucus, NJ within our Business Tech Function and reports to our Regional Head of Total Rewards, Americas.
Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
Drive the compensation strategy and best practices for Business Tech US in partnership with Global Business Tech Compensation & Benefits team
Work closely with Business Tech People Experience Partner to provide relevant analytics, market insights, trends, pay legislation and guidance around compensation related matters to support strategic decisions
Designs competitive incentive plans relevant to tech industry and needs of the business
Regularly analyze and assess effectiveness and quality of compensation plans and programs in line with external market trends
Lead compensation work including salary structure, market benchmarking, job evaluations, compensation planning, and other compensation projects ensuring internal and external equity
Responsible for educating colleagues and coaching leadership within Business Tech Americas around compensation, serving as subject matter expert
Develops and implements communication strategy around compensation within Business Tech in partnership with People Experience Partner

Additional Accountabilities:
Coordination of merit budget for the function as well as other compensation related programs
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or related field
7+ years of relevant experience in Compensation
Experience working within technology industry or supporting technology group required
Extensive knowledge of compensation function, and ability to execute applicable strategies and plans related to base compensation, rewards, STI etc.
Understanding of FLSA regulations and experience evaluating jobs required
Ability to build employee centric rewards programs while balancing business goals and financial boundaries
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, influence, problem solve, and successfully collaborate and communicate with stakeholders on various levels is essential
Strong planning, organizational, facilitation and change management skills; ability to lead and manage large-scale projects; must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills
Critical thinking experienced in using analytical skills to evaluate facts and data to form a sound judgment
Ability to exercise autonomy, independent judgment and decision making; providing sound accurate recommendations to resolve issues and mitigate risk to the company
Proficient in technologies of MS Office Suite with advanced Excel and Data Visualization knowledge
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills and ability to tell a story with data
Skilled with HRIS/Payroll systems and their functionality
Excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong communicator with various levels of the organization, experienced in establishing credible relationships with leadership teams.
Able to work across boundaries, collaborating across the aisle and around the world
Ability to negotiate, plan, problem solve and partner with leadership to achieve desired objectives
Strong influencing and communications skills, with ability to present and represent ideas at all levels of the organization and to get work done through others, including ability to drive leadership debates/recommendations that result in clarity of direction and commitment
Ability to deal with ambiguous and complex work situations and multiple stakeholders at every level
High level of integrity and trust, ability to keep information confidential
Commitment to ongoing learning - internally and externally - for self and team
Flexible to travel between NY and NJ offices
