Supports and assists the Loss Prevention Supervisors by informing Supervisors of all situations that pertain to Loss Prevention. Responsible for overseeing the shift in the absence of the LP Supervisor. Provides daily guidance and direction in the activities of Loss Prevention Specialists and Lead Specialists.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Protection of Company Assets
Directs the technical and day to day routines of the shift activities. Enforces regulations.
Reports and notifies appropriate personnel during an emergency, carrying out evacuation procedures. Maintains logs and prepares reports as necessary. Coordinates work and provides guidance to other Loss Prevention Specialists on the shift. Assists in conducting investigations and audits. Reviews CCTV, Access System and VCR tapes of covert investigations for evidence of theft, mishandling of company property and other security violations.
Assists in verbal and written investigative procedures. Ensures all paperwork is properly completed. Oversees and maintains radio/equipment logs. Ensures property pass system is in compliance with company security procedures. Performs other post and duties as required or directed.
Associate Awareness
Conduct on-going loss prevention, safety and shrinkage awareness programs for all associates and management staff. Ensures policies and procedures and consistently followed. Report unsafe conditions and acts to appropriate personnel.
Investigations/Auditing
Discovers and documents facts by conducting basic investigations into associate dishonesty, power equipment accidents and personnel injury accidents. Conducts audits that are designed to uncover
associate dishonesty, paperwork errors and shrink related opportunities to ensure compliance with government regulations and insurance requirements. Initiates/maintains all investigations of dishonest acts and sabotage and accidents. Conducts safety and security
Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree):
High School Diploma or equivalent job experience.
Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages):

Minimum experience required to perform this job:
