About the Job and Responsibilities The Director, Global Packaging Design will support with all of the strategic creative development and execution of all La Mer brand primary, secondary packaging, seasonal programs, gift sets, bags, and creative mailers. This role drives creative innovations and collaborates with the Executive Director to identify new packaging opportunities for the La Mer brand. Create highly innovative concepts and product designs in line with overall brand strategy Manage the design and production of all product packaging. Includes concept presentations (concept decks, mood boards, drawings, renderings, and models), managing of all departmental DTO's, packaging standards Design across various consumer touchpoints, including ability to design for specialty-multi, open-sell Strong focus on social/e-commerce Work with comp houses on all presentation comps Oversee and manage packaging artwork retouching Attending press runs and other production runs Work closely with all licensors, agencies and attend regular status meetings with various external groups Collaborate with 2D, digital, visual merchandising, packaging, product marketing, product development to create highly desired designs Support with sourcing and utilize outside vendors, artists and designers for new innovative package solutions. Negotiate fees and handle contracts.

Profile

About You 7+ years of related experience Bachelor's degree in a design related field required Conceptual thinker, strong sensibility for shape and 3D visualization. Being able to ideate, develop, present and execute projects from start to finish in highest quality Highly organized, timely with financial fluency. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, on budget and can adapt changing priorities and creative approach Knowledge of industrial and manufacturing processes, finishes and materials Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), 3D CAD/ Modelling and rendering experience in MAC environment. Proficient in SolidWorks, Rhino and/or other 3D modeling program Strong knowledge of competitive landscape and design/fashion trends How You Will be Successful Ensure to always have "finger on the pulse" High level of curiosity Challenges standard practices, and applies new and different ways of thinking to generate new ideas/opportunities Demonstrates flexibility Encourages self & others to be creative in approach to work Influences internally and externally to gain commitment, agreement and support Actively builds relationships Creates and sustains environment of trust and collaboration
