Job description

The Manager, Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition will plan, develop and manage customer acquisition strategies to test new marketing channels and turn them into consistent, reliable drivers of actionable traffic, new customers and revenue. You will use your understanding of incrementality and a customer's total path to conversion to make analytical decisions that generate measurable customer and sales growth as it relates to the Champs Sports Canada business.
- Manage a customer acquisition marketing budget, define and deliver on goals, objectives, and KPIs, meeting Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) to profitably acquire customers.
- Coordinate targeted search engine, social media, display and affiliate advertising programs in both mobile and web with the digital marketing services team.
- Use an analytical approach to review past results and forecast future performance of different online acquisition strategies.
- Coordinate copy and design process with our in-house design team based on past learnings.
- Explore new forms of acquisition channels to position Champs Sports at the front of new opportunities.
- Follow trends across retail, sneaker culture, and marketing to determine what acquisition sources will have the highest impact.
- Collaborate with members of brand marketing, data and analytics, site operations, digital services, and the creative teams to fully understand and maximize the consumer's journey with Champs Sports.
- Lead end-to-end campaigns in conjunction with our internal and agency partners, from defining objectives to execution, tracking, optimizing and reporting.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of online campaigns across channels including (but not limited to): paid social, paid search, affiliate, email, etc.
- Drive loyalty program growth by finding ways to increase enrollment in stores, online and in the app
- Collaborate with CRM and retention marketing teams to align marketing efforts around driving app installs, email acquisition, and SMS subscribers.
- Work with local marketing teams to create event awareness and drive store traffic through geo-targeted customer campaigns.
- Monitor customer health reports to identify dissatisfaction or friction and find ways to improve the online shopping experience.
- Plan and obtain customer segments for remarketing use across Google, Facebook, and other ad partners
- Partner with the CRM team to support a coordinated 'always-on' contact strategy for the whole customer lifecycle
- Support the planning and coordination of digital marketing content creation
- Conduct testing on the site, app, and marketing channels to identify customer friction and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze digital marketing performance and work with the digital marketing team to plan and implement optimizations.
- Special projects as assigned.

Profile

- Bachelor's degree in marketing or other business area.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience with customer acquisition or marketing analytics.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; Excel experience is essential.
- Experience with digital marketing channels such as SEM, SEO, Paid Social, Display, Email and/or Affiliates.
- Experience with web analytics such as Adobe Omniture or Google Analytics.
- Experience working with IT, site operations, data, analytics, and other cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven combined with creative thinking, has the ability to translate data into marketing strategies.
- Willingness to travel as needed (10%)
