Job description

The primary focus of this position is to deliver compelling strategic creative solutions, consumer experiences and develop a holistic consumer journey across TOM FORD BEAUTY's ecosystem, including our global .com sites, retailer .com sites, social platforms and global digital 360 programs. Balancing art and science, the Director is an innovative creative thinker and doer and must be able to understand the design implications on business. Additionally, this role requires multi-tasking, hands-on design skill and in-depth technical understanding to effectively lead and manage any given project. The Director, Global 2D Design position reports into the Vice President, 2D at TOM FORD BEAUTY and will work closely with the Senior Vice President, Global Brand Image at TOM FORD INTERNATIONAL.

Champion TOM FORD BEAUTY to elevate the brand as a leader in all regions with innovative creative executions.
  • Execute excellence in all 2D & Digital design work and maintain a consistent, cohesive language throughout all brand materials to meet the overall objective and strategy.
  • Work closely with Regional teams to develop programs that best meet the needs of the markets.
  • Develop strategic global advertising campaigns across all platforms including digital media/display, mobile, social, video, out-of-home, and in-store to create multi-channel awareness.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Candidate should have 8+ years of experience with strong creative, visual design and digital expertise.

    • Strong leadership and managerial skills with a focus in the beauty, luxury, and consumer goods industry.

    • Innovative mindset to experiment with new concepts and approaches, ability to create creative solutions to difficult problems.

    • Keen understanding of new media and innovations in the creative and marketing ecosystem.

    • Global mindset, while understanding regional consumer trends and other regional nuances.

    • Experience in managing a creative team at an agency or brand.

    • Ability to source new vendors, technology, and new platforms.

    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, oversee multiple projects, attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams.

    • Great communicator who can clearly and effectively communicate expectations and be relatable to a range of people spanning business to creative to technical disciplines.

    • Experience and knowledge of the Chinese consumer and region.

    • Ability to read Mandarin.

    • B.A. Degree in Design or comparable required.
