Job description

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate. In an effort to reinforce the business and the desirability of a major beauty brand, we seek a marketing professional to be responsible for the strategic development of a fragrance business globally. Along with the Global Vice President of the US Designer Brands, the Global Marketing Director for Tiffany & Co. will play a leadership role in providing strategic guidance and marketing thought to deliver the most effective and innovative marketing plans for its scope, including new launches and existing portfolio.
The Director will lead all cross-functional teams on all projects internally, and the multiple creative partners externally, to deliver robust and innovative launch pipelines, along with effective and high-quality go-to-market programs.
This position will develop the career paths of supporting planning staff, as well as play an integral role in supporting and delivering company values and goals on a daily basis. The Director will effectively leverage experience, knowledge and skills to encourage innovative thinking and set challenging team goals and objectives balancing brand, company and team needs.
The Director will work directly with the VP of US Designer Brands, the license, managing the relationship with its counter-part and the approval process regarding communication campaigns, packaging design and fragrance development.
The Director is a well-rounded marketing professional with experience in the fragrance development with a background in selective distribution, to lead and evolve the brand presence globally, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.
- Lead the global Tiffany & Co. Marketing team to define & deliver the 3-5 year portfolio vision and plan that delivers on profit while also growing global market share.
- Develop & lead Tiffany & Co. fragrances strategic plan, including product launches, new campaigns & innovations plans globally.
- Manage overall brand & product development, advertising campaigns and innovation plans in line with brand equity
- Develop global marketing launches with cohesive 360 programs that are consistent at all touchpoints.
- Partner with CMI to leverage key market insights and ensure launch mixes are consumer relevant, globally impacting and strengthen the brand equity
- Drive external relationships including creative and design agencies (packaging, concepting & advertising/communication).
- Present and influence both external partners (creative agencies, license, retailers) and internal stakeholders (market leaders, cross-functional teams, senior leadership).
- Partner with Global Trademarketing to ensure key strategic market needs are integrated into global plans while also ensuring global guidelines meet local market needs
- Lead, coach drive & develop team of 2 on Tiffany & Co. to foster a culture of innovation and partnership while ensuring best-in-class 360 marketing plans and execution.
- Master the product development & commercialization process to ensure a maximum of innovation within the required timelines to achieve maximum launch success.
- Contribute to the overall brand P&L through driving recommendations and decisions to achieve the brand's global objectives.
- Provide direction and spearhead the development with all cross functional teams including: product development, packaging, creative, digital/social, communications, education, and global brand supply chain.
- Manage the overall budget and work with Finance to insure all programs are supported in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Lead the fragrance development process with the core-listed fragrance houses.QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years of related marketing experience
- Undergraduate degree required. MBA a plus
- Prestige/luxury brand experience preferred
- Should demonstrate a passion for the fragrance business
- Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility
- Needs to exhibit a keen ability to conceptualize new products, analyze competitive activity, and formulate recommendations to grow the business.
- Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional and affiliate teams.
- Must be mature, responsible, accountable, organized and must possess the potential to manage and develop direct reports
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication, analytical, creative and computer skills.
