POSITION SUMMARY: - Assist the ED of Product Marketing in defining strategic objectives that align to category and brand goals.- Key agent to implement the end-to-end product journey of all Face products.- Bring to life Face products to embody M

- C as the #1 color professional makeup authority- Be the institutional knowledge for all things Face - industry developments, competitor moves, viral products.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Strategist for product lifecycle management of the Face sub-category portfolio - includes innovating launches, growing sub-category market share and sales in priority channels and regions, driving and monitoring steady state business performance through gap and need identification, and identifying products for potential sun setting to actively and holistically manage product lines.- Design global strategy and execution with a category and portfolio lens across Face and inform regional adaptations - partner with Regions to develop Regional guidelines based on global guidelines and priorities and Global Product Marketing best practices for category management.- Leverages consumer insights, trends, cross functional team knowledge, and regional insights to inspire innovative new launches and re-support programs.- Manages New Launch and 360 process for all programs; including all paperwork required to initiate and move programs forward.- Delivers accurate and timely Flashes, Creative Briefs, 360 Dossiers, and other marketing materials; provides detections to direct reports; shared documents with regions / markets and internal teams.- Leads Line Edit process for Face category.- Strategist for product lifecycle management of the Face sub-category portfolio - includes innovating launches, growing sub-category market share and sales in priority channels and regions, driving and monitoring steady state business performance through gap and need identification, and identifying products for potential sun setting to actively and holistically manage product lines.- Design global strategy and execution with a category and portfolio lens across Face and inform regional adaptations - partner with Regions to develop Regional guidelines based on global guidelines and priorities and Global Product Marketing best practices for category management.- Leverages consumer insights, trends, cross functional team knowledge, and regional insights to inspire innovative new launches and re-support programs.- Own and collaborate on developing new concepts and briefs for Face-related new product launches and new programs - work with partner groups such as Creative, Communications, Artistry Training & Development, Online, CRM, Special Events, etc. to create holistic product launch strategies.- Responsible for tactical P&L financial management of Face sub-category, including gap analysis and business mix in collaboration with Business Analytics Manager.- Establish calendar of products for the Face sub-category and direct global strategic marketing plans for Face products, categories and franchises - drive on-time mentality through active calendar management in collaboration with Calendar Strategist.- Identify and validate global trends and competitor activity in Face sub-category in collaboration with Marketing Analytics team with a collective "hunting mindset" to generate insightful monthly reports for business leaders with sub-category ideas that are analytically rigorous (i.e. new launches, competitor advertising & collateral files).- Leverage trend-hunting mindset with analytical rigor in collaboration with ED Face/Skincare and Marketing Strategy & Analytics group to identify and validate trends (e.g., developing routine competitive profiles, trendspotting reports, and idea pipeline for new product innovation).- Partner with Business Analytics team to drive COG analysis, provide strategic pricing input and ensure SKU management across Face portfolio.- Lead value analysis efforts to improve costs on traffic/recruitment drivers.- Prepares presentations and presents at various senior management meetings, regional meetings and orientations.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience, MBA highly desired.- Should have a passion for beauty and understand MAC's philosophy and artistry legacy.- Demonstrates ownership of programs; embracing both big picture and follow-thru on details.- Position requires creativity and thorough knowledge in all areas of marketing including the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing programs, knowledge of global market/consumer trends.- Previous global and or product marketing experience required.- Must possess proactive strategic and critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative, anticipate next steps and offer recommendations.- Demonstrated success with a proven track record of thinking outside the box to generate results (i.e. "disruptive mindset").- Strong understanding of how products are distributed, launched, and marketed through end-to-end launch strategies.- Experience with flashes, creative briefs, 360 dossiers, product launch, and lifecycle management.- Position requires leadership skills and project management skills. - Excellent written and oral communications, excellent presentation skills, ability to personally organize and set priorities and to drive other people- Knowledge of the functions of product development, packaging design, advertising, and sales and their effect on product marketability.- Minimal travel within US and International markets with a focus on key markets as mandated.
