Job description

The Director, Global Indirect Procurement for Corporate Services is the sourcing partner to the ELC Corporate Human Resources leaders with responsibility for transformational strategy development and implementation oversight and acceleration of procurement practices and delivery to internal performance metrics and process improvements.

The Director will play an integral role in developing the category strategies and managing the supplier base to right size and rationalize across the category and company. While this position will focus primarily on global activities, this role will partner regionally and locally across the organization as needed to implement category-specific strategies, drive strategic sourcing activities, and build supplier relationship management programs for the assigned categories of indirect spend.

Additionally, the Director will be responsible for three team members and will need to influence and lead this team to deliver on departmental goals. This person will need to coach and ensure the team is setup for success.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with demonstrated experience leading successful negotiations and engaging with senior management. The ideal candidate must develop broad influence through a robust set of internal/external relationships across the organization; promote win-win outcomes within, among and across teams, using the diverse perspectives of others to achieve results. The candidate will also have the ability to influence partners / organizational leadership through effective listening and communication to accomplish operational objectives



- Drive Innovation and Joint Value Creation by building and delivering strong transformational Category Management Strategies, focusing on innovation and value. Develop, coordinate and execute worldwide category management strategies and programs to optimize and leverage our global Corporate & Professional Services spend and improve procurement practices, while delivering results.

- Responsible for establishing strategic sourcing plans, evaluating opportunities and executing tailored approaches that reduce total cost of ownership and continuously improve service levels for HR Services agreements (and all relevant sub-categories).

- Promote the competitive sourcing process, evaluate supplier cost proposals and recommend business awards and associated contractual input. Develop and implement supplier relationship programs in close alignment with stakeholders

- Actively drive compliance of the category strategies and sourcing projects with the ELC Procurement Policy, Directive, Guidelines and local Procurement SOPs, as well as, legal and regulatory requirements

- Contribute maximum value to the business through better strategizing, structuring and organizing the supply of the assigned categories, including selecting the "right" supplier base

- Achieve year-on-year improvements in indirect spend, focusing on quality and service through management of procurement and sourcing activities

- Monitor results, utilizing SAP reporting capabilities, against established global and regional KPIs

- Measure and track internal procurement performance and savings within each category

- Establish and manage annual project pipeline and communicate progress in meeting performance goals. Maintain and issue status reports

- Lead global category councils by partnering with regional IP teams to align on category strategies and ensure transparency of project plans, co-ordination and consolidation of activities to formulate and manage a strategy into action working plan.

Profile

Qualifications

8+ years of Procurement experience with focus in HR Services or related procurement categories (i.e. Temporary Labor, Full Time Recruiting, Health & Benefits, Learning & Development).

Bachelor's degree

5-10% travel

Experience and track record in a corporate services procurement role and/or HR functions

Strong Project Management, communication, networking, stakeholder/supplier engagement, and influence with authority skills, emotional intelligence awareness.

Proven ability to lead internal and external teams to ensure successful and professional procurement activities. High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills

Ability to extract short/mid/long-term business requirements by communication with key stakeholders (e.g. goals, trends) to guarantee that the strategy is aligned with the business
