In Consumer Beauty, we are currently in process to drive turnaround and value creation on our most Iconic brands under the leadership of our incoming CEO Sue Y. Nabi. Our global marketing team in Amsterdam will drive Coty Consumer Beauty transformation and deliver a successful turnaround. This transformation effort includes re-centering our brand activity and innovation program on strong consumer centricity, establish a strong Global Category thought leadership and growth story leveraging emergent needs and trends, fixing base business restrainer to unlock our ability to invest into future growth. As the Mass Fragrances New Business & Brand Growth Director, you will be working closely with the VP Mass Fragrances and SVP Consumer Beauty New Business Development to identify, explore, develop and ultimately launch new opportunities for Mass Fragrances within the division. You will be responsible for building both the business plans and the creative concepting for those opportunities that we take forwards to develop into full business pitches for launch for presentation to the EC. To that end you will be responsible for preparing business plans, market sizing and budgets for new projects; managing and revising annual business plans and budgets as needed. Working with CMI you will analyze market trends and customer needs to identify relevant new business development opportunities. You will need both strong persuasion skills and business acumen, coupled with the ability to work with the Creative studio and experts to bring concepts and story-telling to life. Ultimately, you will demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Once established, you will lead the set up of the new brands and businesses bringing strong practice and thought leadership around category growth, and how current and future demand spaces comes to life into our CB portfolio. You will provide insights on the effectiveness of our $ spent to drive mental and physical availability and ultimately top line growth.
You will be an expert on Brand Health, identifying the platforms, got to market strategies and creative cut-through required to ignite fast growth. You will be familiar with both Media and Store opportunities and will be pivotal to define the right strategy to close existing gaps, de-risk brand building blocks and construct a balanced and robust growth story for the markets.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
- Become the go-to expert and partner to the new license/JV partner Build exceptional collaboration from the get-go working with the VP of Mass Fragrances to establish the new business inside the Coty portfolio.
- Build the Business Plan, Gain Sign-Off and Launch Provide insight and data-based recommendations on how to best build, launch and drive the new businesses across the markets relevant for the proposition. Enable worldwide teams to understand how this translates this into strong Store / Shelf / Media activities. Balance scale with needed adaptations to specific contexts such as Media channels or store formats.
- Creative concepting and development. Be able to story-tell and concept to work alongside external creative partners (licnese/JV) and internal creative experts to bring to life the new brand and messaging.
- Lead Yearly Strat Plans For the new business/es work with the Analytics Director, Innovation S. Director to ensure robust SOP estimate with balanced building blocks grounded in the new brand potential, market reality and expected projection
- Balanced demand sizing behind Brand plans ensure realistic assumptions around spending, distribution, shelf execution, Ensure incrementality for the new business/es vs. existing portfolio You will report into the Mass Fragrances VP and work hand in hand with the:
- SVP Business Development.
- VP Finance
- VP Creative


To be successful in this role, you will bring solid professional expertise in consumer and market insights, analytics expertise and a strong understanding and application marketing principles and how media works. We are looking for a proven ability to drive strategic insights into business decision making, preferably in a variety of Brands.
Experience in Category Management at local/global level, Media planning, Brand plans are appreciated along side strong bias for action and ability to manage diverse stakeholders. Understanding of digital data alongside more traditional Media & Equity KPIs is a plus.
You are constructive and collaborate strongly with MFT / vendors to deliver your work. You are able to see opportunities on how to improve current ways of working. You are curious and like to combine data from various sources to understand the full picture.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years agency or FMCG experience, preferably including health & wellness, beauty and / or luxury.
- Experience with concept creation and brand vision
- Strong understanding of a variety of channel dynamics and Store levers
- Must have at least 5+ years client-side experience - understanding of Physical & mental availability drivers and how brand growth.
- Proven ability to manage complex questions. Strong Commercial sense to and influence successfully & drive action from results.
- Knowledge and expertise around digital tools and analytics.
- Strong understanding of business KPI and translate reality into models with the appropriate support (analyst or vendor)
- Ability to leverage / integrate existing data sets or develop 80/20 estimates when information is not available
- Experience of managing budgets and working with suppliers to ensure actionable results, on time, best cost
- Thought leadership: You set a vision of what can be achieved and have a bias for action. You create an environment where others feel committed to deliver and contribute fully.
- High level of maturity and Strong communication and presentation skills to interact and influence Senior stakeholders and multi-functional team.
