Overall Job Function:
The
Director of Communciations, U.S. will define and drive a highly effective
communication vision and strategy both internally and externally for H&M US,
promoting key initiatives that drive a positive reputation for H&M. You
will be responsible for three core disciplines, inclusive of both Corporate and
Local Communications, Public Relations and Media Relations.

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
Local Communications Strategy
Responsible for setting and driving local
communication strategy for H&

Profile

supporting H&M's
global and local goals.
Responsible for measuring and sharing impact of all
Communications activities in relation to growth of the H&M brand and
H&M Business.
Lead sustainability strategy for H&M US,
including internal and external communications around sustainability.
Responsible for overseeing and developing
stakeholder relations.
Manage all strategic partnerships, inclusive of charitable,
ad hoc brand building and local collaborations.
Act as key advisor on communications questions and
challenges together with the Global Head Office, responsible for driving crisis
communications strategy for H&M US.
Fashion PR
Lead PR strategy related to H&M US, driving a
positive reputation among customers, press and the fashion community.
Ensure in-depth knowledge of the local media
landscape including good relations with the most important fashion media,
opinion formers and influencers.
Responsible for local PR-activities including media
selections, pitching and follow up.
Responsible for local events towards fashion media,
stylists and influencers.
Drive local influencer strategy and activities in
close collaboration with local Marketing team.
Manage PR agency relations (purchase/contract,
manage and evaluate).
Responsible for following up and evaluation on
fashion PR-activities.
Media
Relations and Corporate PR
Overall
responsible for H&M US local media picture, including in-depth
knowledge of the local media landscape and establishing good relations
with most important corporate and fashion media.
Manage
local media relations and secure that the global communications and media policies
are being followed.
Have
a strong overview of challenges and issues that may have an impact on the
H&M Brand and H&M Group
Act
as main local spokesperson.
Responsible
for proactively and reactively communicating H&M messages to external and
internal audiences.
Actively
communicate H&M-related news like openings, new collections and events
connected to the company externally as well as internally in accordance with
global strategies and messages.
Provide
counsel and support on media related issues to other local functions.
People & Budget
Manage
the Communications team, responsible for coaching, development and succession planning
within the team.
Set
and manage H&M US communications budget in partnership with Country Manager,
Country Controller and Global Communications Controller.
Financial Accountability:
Responsible for the development and tracking of Communications budget.
