The company will look to this role to continually define the "value" proposition ACD brings to its retail partners and beauty service teams. This position is responsible for advancing strategic partnerships focused on beauty service and education, developing a high-performance team culture and management of assigned budgets.The key pillars of the team are: education, training and sales with a focus on advancing dermatological skincare expertise and awareness of ACD brands - CeraVe, La Roche-Posay and Vichy. The responsibilities of the team include and are not limited to:
- Developing educational programs and training tools focused on skin expertise, selling skills and brand/product knowledge
- Building partnerships in the field to activate programs and grow sales
- Advancing digital and social education to increase D2C engagement ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute strategies in line with corporate direction. Ensure brand equity and corporate strategy is implemented in all written content and as executed by field team
- Analyze team performance, provide consistent and constructive feedback on goals & expectations. Implement action plans as needed to develop areas of opportunities and/or correct underperformance
- Develop strong cross-divisional partnerships with the L'Oreal Derm Team to share best practices and competitive intel while identifying opportunities to build dermatological skincare recommendation and sales
- Collaborate with Integrated Health Team to bridge beauty and pharmacy activations by ensuring standardized implementation of educational programs and training resources across both teams
- Build strong working partnerships with global education and medical teams rooted in collaboration and the sharing of best practices and resourcesField Education & Sales:
- Provide leadership to team ensuring the company's strategies, policies, and sales tactics are understood and implemented
- Own process of creating annual KPIs and Management Protocol in accordance with customer needs, brand expectations and in alignment with leadership.
- Lead and manage strategic relationships with key retailer contacts (field and HQ) with objective of establishing ACD as the preferred partner for the evolution of beauty service programming
- Analyze team performance, provide consistent and constructive feedback on goals & expectations. Implement action plans as needed to develop areas of opportunities and/or correct underperformance
- Champion the needs of the business unit, align with brand stakeholders on business needs and communicate subsequent impact of budgetary decisions and manage the Sales & Training budgets within stated allocation
- Lead the vision and execution of all divisional team meetings, (National Sales & Training Meeting, Summer National Sales & Training Meeting) own the theme, content and agenda for team. Collaborate with marketing and sell-out/sell-in team to ensure meeting content is in line with company and retailer strategy
- Implement a consistent field visit calendar. Time in market to be focused on coaching and development of team membersEducation Development:
- Lead the strategic direction for the training team. Ensure content and live trainings meet the needs of the brand, our retailers and elevate the knowledge of Beauty Consultants that accelerate sell out to meet quarterly objectives
- Act as the key training contact for strategic customers, attend customer meetings as needed and create strategic plan by retailer, in partnership with education account leads
- Collaborate with global education teams for content, inspiration, and adult learning/facilitation. Bring relevant content and best practices back to US team
- Oversee execution of training needs across multiple platforms / users:
- Internal team needs - effective implementation of New Hire Training, monthly training calls, NSTM, Summer Meeting and Train the Trainer meetings
- Cross-functional teams (Le Care, Marketing, Digital) - effective implementation of live facilitated trainings, digital content library and Q&A sessions
- External needs - effective implementation of New Hire Training, seasonal and product launch trainings, mandatory programs and skincare certifications, and implementation of retailer specific business development trainings, creating a menu of available courses
- Digital training - create vision and strategy of digital and social education initiatives that support D2C learning, including yet not limited to: IG, TikTok, QR code content, E-Learning portals, livestream and virtual consultations
- Education & Training Tools - work in partnership with DMI, brand heads and Education Development Manager to determine the printed material needs of the field and retailer teams, ensuring materials are delivered on time and with excellence
- Ensure all educational programs and assets are available in both English and Spanish to support broader beauty service population
- Lead and implement a training tracking system to measure the impact of our training programs; post training analysis (data based), post training survey (qualitative feedback on training)FACTORS & JOB SCOPEKnowledge: Requires knowledge of how business is conducted in the assigned channels of distribution and understands the planning and decision-making process and national / account perspective of the consumer packaged goods industry.Problem Solving: Requires innovative and critical thinking in originating new and improved methods, procedures, or processes. Responsible for contributing insights on account development in collaboration with Brand Marketing, Le Care, Account Management, Digital, Finance and Sales Administration.QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree
- 7 - 10 years experience in education, training and/or sales management in the consumer products industry.
- Able to travel +50% of timePROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS
