Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end inventory to include finished goods and components.
  • Supervise the SC Planning staff to include SC Planning Mgr. and Inventory Allocation Specialist.
  • Become resident “power user” in Net Suite on the inventory, planning, and purchasing functionality.
  • Report to senior management on all aspect of inventory to include segmentation by inventory class and status.
  • Provide inventory projections to support cash flow analysis.
  • Support preparation of annual budget.
  • Monitor Net Suite data integrity related to purchase order, work order and transfer order activity.
  • Support Finance during the monthly closing process and support any troubleshooting of transactional errors.
  • Ensure that Planning staff is performing timely maintenance and closing of PO’s, WO’s, and TO’s.
  • Work with the manufacturing team and 3rd party manufacturers to develop best capacity profiles as possible with available data.
  • Ensure timely issuance of key inventory reports – Out of Stock report, Weeks of Sale report
  • Ensure timely issuance of PO’s in accordance with T&A timelines
  • Hold RTL meetings with Marketing and Sales to update on new model launch timing.
  • Meet with Manufacturing and Design team members on a weekly basis to ensure understanding of new model launches, DOD dates, PO issuance dates, and RTL dates.
  • Provide inventory analysis for special events such as Sample Sale, Private Event, Holiday Event.
  • Work with factories to issue PO’s in a weekly bucketed MPS (master production schedule) format that is created based on available known capacity as opposed to PO’s being issued with every model being due on the same date.
  • Create and manage PO’s for expense items as required (ie, Marketing collateral).
  • Conduct safety stock analysis to identify the inventory investment and quantity required to sustain 98%+ inventory availability.
  • Participate in monthly S&OP process and provide input on slow moving inventory.
  • Participate in weekly status calls with factories.
  • Plan and coordinate physical inventory counts as required. Establish cycle count program for warehouse operations.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly status meeting with Net Suite support team regarding projects and upgrades.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • BS in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Operations Planning and Inventory Management
  • Industry experience in fashion, accessories, or consumer goods
  • Hands-on ERP experience preferably with Net Suite
  • Hands-on experience with creating master production schedules for consumer goods and using MRP functionality
  • Well-versed in SCM best practices such as MRP II, JIT, Lean Manufacturing
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • High proficiency in Excel
