This position will join the Estée Lauder Companies design team as a . The candidate will report directly to the Executive Creative Director and lead the exceed standards for the new brand image and tone. They will ensure that Visual Merchandising guidelines are consistent with the standards for brand image, work effectively in field, and address the marketing strategies and financial goals of North America. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job description

- Collaborate with Cross-Functional teams (North America Marketing, Trade, Education, Field, Global Creative) to have visibility to the global brand strategy and vision while understanding North America's regional nuances.

- Identify consumer/shopper insights and pair them with business strategies to develop compelling Visual Merchandising solutions.

- Communicate region specific requirements and opportunities to global stake holders and propose solutions that maintain global brand integrity, while meeting regional objectives.

- Demonstrate an understanding of materials, costs, and time requirements on projects. Interact with Corporate Purchasing to resolve issues of function, performance, manufacturing, cost and scheduling during design development and production phases of projects.

- Maintain awareness of current trends in visual arts and merchandising, including materials and production innovations to help elevate execution and exceed brand expectations.

- Cultivate positive working relationship with all cross-functional partners and encourage open lines of dialogue.

Store Design

- Manage store design group workflow. Ensure all projects are prepared for approval, coordinating with internal groups to allow input on plans in a timely basis. Obtain Sales/Field/Retailer approvals.

- Ensure brand design standards are communicated and updated to corporate store design team. Input on cost reduction and - Cultivate positive working relationship with all cross-functional partners.

Staff Management

- Ensure VMSD design teams are communicating between functions and connecting the dots where needed.

- Work with VMSD designers to career map and set inspired, but achievable goals.



- Bachelor of Science or Fine Arts or Masters of Architecture
- Minimum 10 years of store design and visual merchandising experience in beauty/luxury/retail industry
- Ability to translate consumer insights and business strategies into compelling Visual Merchandising solutions and Store Design vision
- Stellar leadership skills: Inspire Visual Merchandising and Store Design teams to embrace and initiate change; Help collaborate with key stakeholders; Manage up effectively; Be an empathetic and supportive team leader
- Effective project management skills: Ability to execute several projects simultaneously in a timely and efficient manner; Must be able to follow projects from inception to completion
- Experience working in a large matrixed organization
- Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to conceptualize Visual Merchandising and Store Design ideas, work hands on, and effiectively give design direction to the team
- Expert knowledge of retail environments (both Department and Specialty/Multi Stores required)
- Ability to work independently and interface with Marketing, Sales, Field Teams, Merchandising, Packaging, and Creative Services departments
- Knowledge of Design software: Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, and Rhino
