Overview

The Financial Analyst, Logistics Finance has the ability to work from home in a fully remote work environment and a hybrid work environment if local.

The Financial Analyst, Logistics Finance is responsible for preparing financial forecasts, analyses and reports for the use of Corporate and Divisional management. Responsible for general accounting functions and special projects as assigned. The role will be responsible for a number of tasks involving freight expense forecasting, cost center forecasting, various department reports, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and AP.

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead and direct associates.
• Must be punctual and meet attendance requirements.
• Must be able to accept direction.
• Must be able to work well with fellow associates (or be an integral part of the team).
• Ability to work for a number of executives.
• Must be able to work with various departments across all Foot Locker sites.
• Prepare Account Reconciliations where appropriate.
• Complete daily, monthly and quarterly reporting in Excel.
• Ensure all SOX requirements and deadlines are met and no deficiencies exist.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks.
• Must be flexible to changes in assignments such as taking on additional projects/tasks as assigned by management.
• Must have and maintain a sense of urgency to complete tasks and follow through to end results.
• Prepare combining form analytical's monthly.
• Prepare KPMG analytical's as requested.
• May be required to perform additional duties as described by supervisor/manager.
• Audit and process invoices timely and accurately.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial processing and reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare weekly/monthly freight forecast reports for Corporate and Divisional Management.
• Assist with divisional planning worksheets and freight budgeting.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities. Be driven towards problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, major in business/finance, from a college or university; and one to four years of related experience and/or training.
• Preferred; Accounting, Finance & MBA.
• Basic PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Knowledge or experience in supply chain is desirable.
• Knowledge of basic accounting, debits, and credits is required.
• Knowledge of People Soft A/P & G/L is desirable.
• Strong communication skills required to work with various foreign and domestic Foot Locker sites.
