Job description

Nike Direct Marketing is looking for a Marketing Manager to guide and implement the content marketing strategy and execution for one of the most iconic brands in the world. Your mission will be focused on fueling demand for Nike and driving user retention. To do this, you be responsible for creating a best-in-class user experience and creating seamless user journeys to meet consumers where they are at and continue to reengage with them at every touchpoint in and out of the Nike ecosystem. You will be a key contributor into a multi-pronged Nike Consumer Direct digital marketing strategy that crosses teams throughout the organization with direct collaboration and alignment with our geographies.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly strategic and experienced content marketer to elevate Nike, capture top-of-funnel traffic, and drive habit formation within the ecosystem. This role will oversee the development and execution of video-on-demand content, editorial content rooted in health and wellness, and content pilots to push the Nike into innovative new spaces in the digital industry. Using insights and data, you will look to shape, grow, serve and reward an active community by helping define and deliver well-rounded experiences and services that keep users engaged, motivated, and moving with us more often. Key deliverables include content strategy, franchise development, consumer journey strategy, digital marketing roadmap & experience requirements & standard methodologies, test/measurement plan, and owning pilots for new marketing capabilities.
This role requires a strategic attitude demonstrated through innovative digital thinking and expertise to drive key decisions that move the platform and brand forward, as well as a creative mentality demonstrated through experience delivering consumer-right content in new ways. We're looking for a demonstrated digital marketer who is creative, collaborative, and eager to develop! A leader of inspiration, uniting team & geographies around the Nike Direct Marketing vision & channel strategy.
- Drive engagement strategy for consumer experience including content strategy, personalization, mix, targeting, and journey design.
- Ensure content is clear, compelling and properly distributed across platforms; adhering to a consistent brand voice and training philosophy, while implementing SEO standard methodologies.
- Use data, research and an understanding of psychology to shape the narrative and create content experiences tailored to our personas and target audience.
- Assess the performance of all content. Plan and conduct post-production quality assurance reviews and recommend changes as appropriate.
- Implement the high-level business strategy end to end, including geo-rollout, strategic content partnerships, music licensing, etc. to create or further develop playbooks.
- Manage editorial calendar and inform editorial content creation process to develop channel right content and testing approach to match consumer intent based on insights and NRC standard methodologies aligned to geography experiences needs.
- Responsible for managing the execution of the NTC App content strategy, delivering global playbook & toolkits with channel guidelines, consumer journey framework, marketing capability use-cases and standard methodologies informed by geography findings, data and insights.
- Subject matter expert and deep knowledge of digital capabilities, understanding how to enhance the channel to elevate the consumer experience.
- Identify and share marketing needs and findings back into Consumer Data Science, Brand Creative, Digital Design, and Digital Product teams to ensure the platform and product roadmap is optimized to support marketing, consumer and geography needs.
- Operationalize new channel standards (new guidelines, marketing capabilities and data-driven standard methodologies) that can be shared globally and across marketing to drive efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Lead pilot-to-scale experiences, testing new and innovative ways to deliver personalized experiences at scale and solve for common consumer and geo needs.
- Manage global knowledge sharing forum to gather cross-geo findings and drive insights to action by activating wins globally.
- Provide strategic digital thought-leadership as it relates to digital channels within seasonal ideation for category experiences, identifying new, innovative ways to engage the NTC community with newness and motivation from the brand.
- Accountable for the planning and support of all productions and athlete engagements, through execution, delivery and publication.
- Coordinate music, trainer comms, product/wardrobe, performance, production/post-production, class copy, Pre-Pro trainer calls, design, authoring handoff, and scheduling.
- Screen, hire and supervise the work of content producers and editors and external vendors.


- Bachelor's degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
- Minimum of 6 years of directly relevant digital marketing experience for, preferably in the tech, consumer goods, or fitness industry.
- Experience concepting, creating and building content and campaigns that drive brand relevance, customer engagement, acquisition, and retention.
- Experience leading end-to-end content marketing strategy and amplification, from defining the objectives and strategies, defining key performance indicators and implementing campaigns, linking all points of the audience journey.
- In-depth knowledge of content creation, SEO, social media, content amplification, and full-funnel campaign management.
- Experience working with marketing analytics and how to derive concrete insights.
- Understanding of digital landscape, user experience and our digital platforms.
- Passionate about fitness, sport, and integrated wellness!
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and making persuasive presentations to senior leadership.
- Experience of working cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
- Will drive a culture of always-on testing and learning, including the rapid application of consumer signals into strategy, planning, and content iteration.
- Champion and implement data-driven decision making processes with strong focus on marketing performance analytics & optimization.
- Ability to understand challenges or underlying opportunities, share ideas, and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management.
- Adapts quickly to move at the pace of consumer and work in a constantly evolving environment, making judgment calls and shifts as needed.
- Natural digital curiosity with in-depth awareness and passion for learning the marketplace, consumer trends, evolving retail landscape and industry standard methodologies.
