Are you an aspiring HR professional who loves connecting great talent with the opportunity to develop and grow their career? The Specialist, HRBP is responsible for driving the merchandising/marketing internal mobility programs. In this role, you will marry the art and science of HR by running a People Leader-led and system-enabled internal mobility process, resulting in high-volume job placements. This is a role that will require systems sensibility, strong analytical and excel ability, and outstanding communication and relationship-management skills.
This position will be located in New York. During the pandemic this position will be virtual.
Essential Functions:
- Work directly with People Leaders to own the bi-weekly talent internal mobility process, including ensuring PLs have recorded new vacancies, completing systemic updates to talent readiness, and overall process governance with People Leaders and ORC applications.
- Complete ongoing talent projections for below-director, high-incumbent roles. Ensure there is a strong internal pipeline; identify any gaps in the pipeline and alternate solutions to fill roles (partner TA for external search). Ensure the college relations team understands hiring needs for assistant-level roles 12-18 months in advance.
- Build and maintain excellent relationship with talent acquisition partners, including TA operations, professional recruiters, and college relations.
- Create the most efficient, simple, and consistent process for candidates, People Leaders, and HR Business Partners.
- Get to know the business needs and talent needs by establishing relationships with leaders.
- In partnership with VP, transition internal mobility Platform process to HCM succession tool and new ATS tool including process updates and communications approach.
- Provide updates to HRBPs and other partners regarding candidate sourcing/application flow, candidate onboarding management, critical roles, and hiring by shift.
- Work with Recruitment Operations to ensure vacancy reporting is accurate and up to date.
- Complete monthly diversity benchmarking.
- Complete monthly roster report.
- Ensure compliance with internal job posting policy.
- Ad-hoc projects and duties to support talent and culture, as-needed.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.


- Bachelor's degree required and 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
- Systems savvy; prior experience with ATS functionality (applicant tracking system) and HCM (Human Capital Management) systems/modules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals, and present information to senior management.
