Job description

POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for leading various HR functions to promote an employee-oriented company culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support HR activities and programs such as Performance Management, Training, Benefits, Safety, and Staffing. Guide managers relating to employee relations. Act as a liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company polices, practices and regulations. Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities and programs. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

With a high level of customer service respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and company programs. On a regular basis process various requests/changes for employees via HR System, PeopleSoft and Applicant Tracking System, TalentSuite/BrassRing on-boarding. Work with cross-functional partners to process various task related but not limited to company initiatives: Benefits, Health and Safety, Payroll inquires, Provincial Labor complaints, Training initiatives. Process miscellaneous requests.

Support and maintain Provincial and Statutory compliance concerning employment law and Human Resources functions. Maintain close partnership with the Los Angeles Human Resources team to ensure Guess Canada compliance and implement changes when applicable.

Advise Management on dealing with performance concerns, policy and procedure violations and terminations for appropriate resolution of employee relation issues. Handle employee complaints by conducting thorough investigations. Review and approve Problem Solutions Notice (PSN's). Advise and coach management on all involuntary dismissals.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years
