Job description

This role is primarily responsible for leading HR initiatives and interpreting, developing and delivering policies and programs covering the talent lifecycle, HR strategy delivery and associate relations in a distribution center operation.
Responsibilities:
Delivers proactive HR services and programs that show value in supporting key stakeholder blue chip objectives as well as fielding day-to-day HR issues.
Provides leadership team with guidance relative to labor optimization, associate relations and talent management.
Influences leaders and builds capability across all areas of the talent lifecycle by developing productive partnerships, collaboration, coaching, educating, and feedback.
Influences, delivers, and gains alignment on HR policies and programs.
Thought-leader around talent management, succession planning, retention, learning and organizational development.
Oversees local execution of policies and programs covering talent Lifecycle, HR strategy delivery and associate relations.
Counsels business leaders on key issues pertaining to positive associate relations and labor law.
Develops and delivers initiatives that help to reinforce culture that enables top talent to feel engaged, contribute and do their best work.
Champions and leads key DE&I initiatives in business unit.
Other duties and projects as required to support the overall needs of the business.

Profile

5+ years HR generalist experience, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment with a large non-exempt workforce
Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organizational skills
Demonstrable business influencing skills.
Proven relationship-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong associate relations experience
Experience with large scale project management
Flexible and creative problem solver
Acute sense of urgency with a customer service philosophy
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
Readily adapts and champions change
Ability to analyze business needs and craft practices and specific solutions
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience
