Job description

Fossil Group is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to provide operational, logistical, and analytical support to North American and Corporate HR organizations by participating in the creation, improvement and maintenance of HR processes and procedures. Additionally, this person will have ownership of various HR Operations responsibilities, including all onboarding and employment compliance activities, onboarding system support for new hires, applicant tracking system maintenance for improved candidate experience, and other ad hoc tasks that ensure employee programs run smoothly and effectively.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborates closely with HR Partners and Recruiters to gather business requirements and make recommendations on processes for large and small scale projects and assignments.
- Completes maintenance (through minor configurations) of the Applicant Tracking System to ensure it meets the needs of the Talent Acquisition Team and also remains compliant with Affirmative Action Plan.
- Supports New Hire Onboarding users and hiring managers through minor system issues and questions. Escalates to HRIS team as needed.
- Managers new hire process between offer acceptance and date of hire to ensure candidate location, access and equipment are ready for desired day one experience.
- Leads operational projects to improve, create or document various processes and procedures within the HR department.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities, policies, and procedures to promote compliance and best-practices.
- Coordinates, collects and clarifies deliverables for all Internal/External Audit requests.


Required Skills and Experienced
- 4+ years' experience in a similar role with and a sound understanding of HR Systems
- Have worked within a corporate HR department, with a good knowledge of HR practices
- Proven track record of working and liaising effectively with business users and providing a high level of customer service to employees
- Experience supporting Applicant Tracking/Onboarding System preferred
- Advanced expertise in MS Excel (specifically complex calculations, 'vlookups', pivot tables, etc.)
- Flexible approach with skills in problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent communicator; good written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact and communicate at all levels
