Job description

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the HR Services and Operations (HRCOS) Compliance Director, in partnership with the Senior Global HRCOS Compliance Director, we are looking for an individual to play a significant role in executing a comprehensive and coordinated compliance offense in service of enabling extraordinary operations. You will have direct accountability for all aspects of HR operational tax and labor compliance across the Americas region.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
This ideal individual will utilize specialized expertise to assess and minimize compliance risks in HRCOS. It is important for this individual to think quickly and act decisively. Nike, Inc. is an agile and fast-paced organization with a focus on precision - including rapid and continuous response to regulatory changes. This includes staying abreast of the regulatory changes, understanding and educating relevant partners on the impact to Nike and supporting implementation as subject matter professional throughout the operational processes. You will anticipate potential roadblocks, find opportunities for improvement and provide practical approaches to problem-solving.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, it will be essential to drive alignment and partnership across multiple strategic and operational teams at Nike including Total Rewards Centers of Excellence (COE), Legal, Total Rewards Operations, Payroll, Workforce Operations, HR Direct, Global Mobility and Finance.
As the owner of Nike's implementation for global compliance initiatives in the Americas region, you will provide leadership and guidance on sophisticated labor and tax compliance matters to a wide range of partners within in HR. With an understanding of the strategic direction and goals, this ideal candidate will influence, align, and prioritize work to deliver results while championing open communication and clarity with the highest level of integrity, trust, and collaboration within and across teams. You will stay current on related legislation to maintain compliance.

Profile

WHAT YOU BRING
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of demonstrable experience, education and training
- Minimum of 12 years of demonstrable experience in tax or labor compliance
- Knowledge and hands-on experience operating regulatory frameworks related to total rewards programs and general employment matters for large multinational companies
- Ability to lead, coach, encourage a team of direct reports, indirect reports and vendors
- Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources and lead cross-functional initiatives and project teams
- Strong information seeking-skills, a drive to make things happen along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse group
- Ability to clearly articulate objectives, strong information seeking skills and ability to make things happen
Preferred:
- Knowledge of retail sector is preferred
- CPA, Attorney or EA designation is preferred
