Job description

Global Brand Imaging provides key in-house creative production and support for Nike and Converse. We partner with Global, Geos, Nike Direct Digital Commerce, Marketing, Brand Creative, and Marketplace Partners to produce a wide variety of creative projects for both marketing campaign and digital commerce needs. At ICON.LA, our state-of the-art flagship studio in Los Angeles, ICON.PDX in Portland, GBI's full-service creative facilities offer end-to-end production for our partners' photography and video content needs.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Lead Video Editor to join our studio in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high volume, deadline driven environment, with strong written & verbal communication skills and experience coordinating a team of supporting editors. This candidate should have strong technical and organizational skills with experienced knowledge of the Adobe suite of products, specifically Premiere, After Effects, and Media Encoder. Sophisticated knowledge of Davinci Resolve, a plus.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
If this is you, you'll be working with the Post-Production team editing and finishing e-commerce product videos, short form digital, social content, and brand sizzles. You will provide daily supervision, training, and support for in-house post video talent. As the Lead Editor, you will review and approve all edits for standard production workstreams. From production through post, you'll be encouraged to effectively communicate project requirements & coordinate assets between internal partners, vendors and studio teams. Additionally, you'll be asked to call out production challenges, identify solutions to achieve business objectives, maintain post-production tracking & delivery systems, and ensure all deliverables meet specified quality standards.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
Under the mentorship of the Video Manager and Post-Production Director, you will serve as the main liaison between internal & external Video Editors, Assistant Editors, Colorists, Motion Graphic Artists, and out-of-house Post-Production Partners for standard production. You will support the Video Manager in planning, coordination and tracking of all special project production. You will collaborate with studio functions including Pre-Production, Production, Creative, Equipment, Editorial Retouching, Product Detail Page Retouching, and Quality Assurance & Asset Management teams as projects require.

Profile

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
- 3-5 years relevant experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects.
- Strong understanding of time remapping, time interpolation, speed ramps, and slow motion.
- Well-versed in color grading, footage relinking, chroma-keying, audio mixing, media encoding.
- Motivates team members and shows a willingness to support peers when needed.
- Able to provide constructive oversight and exchange feedback with a close-knit team.
- Very organized, creative, and dedicated to creating best-in-class product videos.
- Proficiency in remote workflow tools (Frame.io, Airtable, Slack, Zoom, Box.com)
- Experience creating emotionally compelling narrative video, a plus.
- Experience in motions graphics animation and motion design, a plus.
- Deep understanding of the brand and an aim to excel at the kind of storytelling that resonates emotionally with the Nike customer.
