Brand Finance Manager
New York

In Consumer Beauty, we are currently in process to drive turnaround our most iconic brands under the leadership of our CEO Sue Y. Nabi. In this role, you can help support some of the most exciting brands in beauty, such as Covergirl, Sally Hansen, and Rimmel while driving this growth mindset! This role reports to the Director of Brand Finance, Consumer Beauty and has frequent collaboration with Supply Chain, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Sales.
As the Brand Finance Manager, you will provide financial, analytical, and accounting support to the Consumer Beauty Marketing team, as well as business planning and month-end close accounting duties. This role includes annual business planning, budget tracking, month-end close accounting duties, and monitoring and supporting the business via financial analysis.
You will achieve success in this role by ensuring proper governance/controls over marketing spend while also driving an ROI mindset. You will also provide transparent and accurate reporting of brand results and financial, analytical, and accounting support to the marketing and other internal functions.
In the role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the entire US brand P&L including preparing and presenting financial outlook in monthly S&OP meeting with leadership
- Preparing yearly Strat plan and Financial plan and monthly outlook processes, including forecasting and tracking marketing spending
- Providing analysis of financial statement and balance sheet accounts
- Providing financial reporting and preparing analyses on brand initiatives and opportunities presented to senior management for approval
- Approving journal entries for month-end and year-end close in SAP, including accruals for media, marketing POs, and coupons
- Leading finance support for cross functional teams and preparing various ad-hoc financial analyses to aid in helping management make strategic business decisions
- Working with Marketing brand teams to develop budgets and provide financial analytical support
- Monitoring business results and processes to ensure controls are in place
- Ensuring proper governance on capex spendingKey requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar field; MBA preferred
- 5 to 7 years of business experience in Financial Analysis and Reporting, ideally in Sales or Brand Finance co-piloting roles
- Strong analytical, finance, accounting and communication skills
- High standards of accuracy and precision; operational discipline; ability to deliver against tight deadlines
- Experienced in working in a multi-functional environment
- Strong technology skills, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion, and SAP BW preferred
- Ability to manage and motivate others
- Ability to leverage / integrate existing data sets when information is not available
Required skills:
