Bustle Digital Group is seeking a proactive, creative, and brand-driven marketer to join our Brand Marketing team, focused on building integrated programs and brand materials while ideating new, revenue-driving initiatives across all of our brands. As the Manager, Brand Marketing, you will help to develop, create, and, communicate new initiatives, products, and partnerships, generating ongoing solutions for our internal teams and innovative opportunities for advertising partners.


This role has the opportunity to work across all verticals within BDG, with a focus on our Lifestyle, Prestige, and Parenting sites.

Job description

Overview

  • Brand Platforms, Events, & Partnerships: Support in ideation of new sponsorable opportunities & events grounded in specific sites' brand ethos, managing the opportunity & material output throughout the year
  • Editorial Initiatives:Collaborate with editorial teams to identify upcoming initiatives, creating materials aligned to the BDG editorial calendar and key cultural moments
  • Product Marketing: Support in developing the go-to market packaging strategy for new products and partnerships -- working cross-departmentally to create and communicate to our sales organization
  • General Presentations & Site Positioning: Develop and category-specific strategies
  • Research & insights: Collaborate with our BDG Trends Group to uncover insights to power the above, in addition to material creation for thought-leadership ideas for advertising partners
Responsibilities

  • Create and manage marketing collateral that clearly communicates each initiative, partnership, and/or program across the BDG portfolio
  • Be an ongoing collaborator with the Editorial, Experiential, Social, and Video teams to create strategic single and multi-sponsor marketing initiatives that monetize our offerings
  • Strategic partner to our Client Solutions, Branded Content, Sales, and Planning teams - helping to customize and ideate for category-specific needs and approaches
  • Ensure all new initiatives are packaged appropriately from an internal margin perspective
  • Specific expertise in concepting and packaging materials for experiential is a plus
  • Manage interdepartmental workflow to ensure that all new initiatives, products, and ideas are built and communicated across all BDG stakeholders and necessary teams
  • Understand and leverage insights to better curate exclusive opportunities backed by data
  • Stay abreast of industry & competitive news, unique advertiser programs and digital innovations, with focus on innovating BDG's offerings

Profile

Qualifications

  • 3-4+ years of digital marketing experience, partnerships or digital strategy in a related field

  • Strategic and creative thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multi-task

  • Keen eye for design, image, story, and understanding of brand

  • Excellent creative writing & storytelling skills with an ability to execute impactful presentations

  • Strong communication as well as presentation skills; must be able to pitch ideas and onboard others toward a common strategic goal

  • True self-starter - be proactive and move initiatives forward

  • Ability to act as the project facilitator between internal teams, managing interdepartmental workflow and communication to ensure cohesive and strategic output

  • Proficiency in Keynote, MS Office, SnagIt, and experience with research tools such as: Google Analytics, comScore, Quantcast, and/or Shareablee
