Job description

About the Role
The Manager of Acquisition for Clinique North America eCommerce will lead strategy and execution for the brand's lower funnel media, to drive sales and traffic to Clinique.com and Clinique.ca. The role is primarily responsible for creating and executing acquisition strategies through SEO, SEM, Display Media, Paid Social, and Affiliate marketing. Also responsible for Analytics and Reporting of KPIs in these channels weekly, monthly and post major events. They will analyze internal results and follow industry trends to help achieve the online strategy and revenue goals within the style and structure of the Clinique brand. This role must partner & seamlessly collaborate with numerous cross-functional teams & brand stakeholders (copy/design, social/digital, product marketing, consumer engagement and integrated marketing) in addition to multiple agency partners to ultimately drive the ecommerce business successfully. This role reports into the Clinique North America Director of eCommerce and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the rest of the NA eCommerce Team.

The Role:

Paid Search & Display

  • Work with agency to develop and execute a robust SEM and Display strategy.

  • Lead weekly business and campaign review calls with performance marketing agency.

  • Optimize campaigns on a daily/weekly basis to deliver sales and performance goals.

  • Create ongoing test plan, incorporating response analysis to optimize campaigns.

  • Collaborate & Communicate with all areas of online group (creative, copy, project management, technical, social/digital) and offline cross functional teams to execute responsibilities as well as identify the right processes that help with efficiency and productivity.

  • Affiliate Marketing

    • Work with affiliate marketing vendor to deliver the traffic and sales targets for the affiliate marketing channel.

    • Maintain close relationship with top affiliate partners to help create a unique and competitive offering from Clinique.com.

    • Create and execute affiliate channel specific offers and programming.

    • Evaluate promotional opportunities and optimize based on seasonality and sales targets.

    • Work with internal groups (Creative, Copy, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to coordinate and develop all copy and creative assets.

    • Create ongoing test plan, incorporating response analysis to optimize campaigns.

    • Web Analytics & Reporting

      • Create top-line weekly and monthly reports, or as necessary, on performance in each key area of responsibility.

      • Based on findings, continually optimize advertising and promotions spend. Share performance and results with online team members. Report and analyze on marketing, merchandising and promotional programs.

      • Budget & Invoice Management

        • Manage and maintain advertising budget for all channels.

        • Keep track and facilitate payment on all incoming invoices and POs.

  • 6+ years experience with at least 3 years related web marketing/ecommerce business experience.

  • Experience in online performance marketing specifically experience in managing paid social, paid search and display advertising campaigns.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Strong organizational skills; Proactive problem solving abilities.

  • Prior experience with budgeting, A&P, ROI analysis.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be a brand advocate and team player.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e. web-based reports, analytics packages, and various multimedia technologies).

  • Thorough understanding of website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools
