Job description

The role
of eCommerce Supply Chain Manager will be the
division's primary owner & key collaborator for all processes involving
direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce sales planning, merchandise planning,
forecasting, and inventory management for the portfolio of PPD brands within
the division.
This role
must partner cross-functionally with the brand's DTC Digital, CRM, Content,
Media and Marketing teams, while working seamlessly with the Corporate Supply
Chain, Logistics and Demand Planning teams. This position will work directly
with the Customer Care Center, Customer Service and Warehouse Distribution
Center teams as well as manage the third-party logistics (3PL) partner. This
individual will ensure all inventory is ordered, transported, arrives at the
3PL fulfillment center and is made available for sale on the DTC website
according to the agreed upon service level agreements (SLAs).
with these key job accountabilities, this individual will also function as the
subject matter expert on all supply chain processes, recommend new strategies
and promotionality tactics, and support product launches in order for the
brand to achieve their agreed upon sales goals. This role will be the main
conduit between all of the Corporate, Divisional and PPD brand teams and will
be responsible for managing the day-to-day supply chain operations for the PPD
The ideal
candidate must be ultra-focused on attention-to-detail, possess incredible
organizational skills, be a good communicator and use their analytics skillset
to highlight major insights that will help the brand deliver online sales to
meet their sales targets. This role will also collaborate with the Corporate
Product Management teams to manage and complete brand key bet strategies as
they involve third-party vendors and supply chain innovation projects.
This role
drives collaboration and influences multiple levels of leadership to execute on
the following key deliverables & responsibilities:
- Owner of the sales forecasting
process by developing bottom-up sales and inventory plans, which are used
to inform financial and inventory decisions inclusive of product mix, AUR,
sell-through, and markdown vs. regular-price selling animations (i.e. core
vs. promo vs. launch)
- Manage the promotional planning
process, including but not limited to product level forecasts, promotional
calendar, and supply chain/inventory
- Support the process of
dimensioning the brand's product panier and monitor, track and report on
new product launches with respect to the PPD brand.com business
- Create and distribute daily,
weekly and monthly business recaps, with emphasis on performance drivers
and issues with solutions highlighted
- Collaborate with other business
partners, including but not limited to finance, corporate supply chain and
the divisional headquarters organization, to ensure that forecasts are
consistent across all teams and channels
- Use historical data to identify
essential insights around product, promotional performance, and inventory
to optimize long-term and short-term strategies
- Monitor and lead inventory
replenishment and logistics management processes for the brand
- Owner of the sales reporting
process, as well as shipments, to help the brand better understand sales,
performance and DTC margins
- Responsible for setting the
necessary cadence and deliverables needed for an inventory process,
promotional planning and strategy
- Own inventory management and
provide high fidelity reporting related to supply chain and demand
planning to ensure that the PPD Division eCommerce websites have
forecasted amounts of inventory at all times
- Work directly with brand
stakeholders to submit accurate forecasts of current/new products,
samples, accessories, E&O, GWPs, that will not result in loss or
destruction situations
- Work with brand stakeholders for
ordering of new products that are validated as sell-through quantities for
the forecasted inventory on PPD brand.com online business
- Work with the supply chain
distribution, customer care and fulfillment partners to ensure inventory
is shipped, received and available for sale on brand.com according to
company SLA agreements
- Troubleshoot technical breaks
between data systems, item master reporting, product catalog
- Responsible for fulfillment
management, including planning and overseeing 3PLs execution of shipping
forecast and SLAs
- Lead packaging initiatives and
manage supply to ensure consistent branded customer experience
- Lead daily, weekly and monthly
meetings to ensure all parties are achieving forecasted goals , which
can include setting the calendar for meetings with stakeholders and
- Manage the production schedule and
provide recommendations to brand stakeholders in relation to decision
making of priorities within the production workstream, including:
- Resolving
courier and fulfillment challenges
- Adapting and
pivoting front-end tactics based on resolution to challenges
- Working
cross-functionally to ensure that approved digital marketing plans adhere
to new direction
- Updating
checkout and post-purchase workflows (ex: transactional emails with
data-driven marketing team)
- Responsible for financial
reporting including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to financial
forecasting and sales performance of the PPD eCommerce websites
- Responsible for working with brand
stakeholders to ensure accurate daily forecasting calendar and monthly
sales files (demand sales, shipped sales, carryover, on-hold, canceled)
- Attend monthly calls with Credit
& Financial teams to optimize fraud rules
- Ownership of the customer
experience to develop and maintain policies, procedures to sustain a
Consumer Centric experience in all consumer interactions, including but
not limited to:
- Lead and
coordinate frequent product training and conduct frequent evaluations of
customer agent performance
- Schedule and
lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and provide recommendations to
encourage self-service, improving customer experience and reducing
- Lead
fulfillment related initiatives as main point of contact for 3PL partners
- Provide insight
on downstream impact of new initiatives
- BS/BA degree in Supply Chain,
Finance, Mathematics, or other analytical background College Degree
- 5-7+ years of experience managing
3PL supply chain functions with proven success in optimizing performance
for high volume direct-to-consumer or business-to-business eCommerce
- 5-7+ years experience in a role
focusing on sales/merchandise planning, forecasting or a similar function;
- 5-7+ years of experience in
managing 3PL call center optimizing performance while not compromising on
the customer experience
- Expert knowledge and skill with
data, data management, data activation and statistics, particularly as it
relates to eCommerce and consumer analytics; experience with Demandware a
- Strong knowledge and skill with
creating projections & detailed forecasts
- Ability to lead presentations and
effectively analyze and translate data into actionable business plans
- Creative problem solver with the
ability to prioritize initiatives and anticipate business needs
- Ability to build effective
partnerships and interact successfully with diverse individuals at all
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills,
with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights and

will require a balance of analytical thinking, communication skills and data
management skills as it will require a demonstrated ability to develop consumer
knowledge and insight and to act on the data in collaboration with internal
brand & external account partners. It requires constant interaction within
a matrixed business structure (Marketing, Ecommerce, GM, CMO) to coordinate
work and deliver objectives. Actively builds networks and becomes in-house
expert on the account database to influence, convince, and introduce new ways
of improving how we meet the needs of our consumer.
