Job description

The Manager, Email Marketing role is responsible for developing the strategy for Bath & Body Works promotional and lifecycle campaigns, being a champion for innovation within the channel, and driving overall file health through acquisition and retention efforts. This position supports and leads a fast-paced team, focused on driving revenue and customer engagement through segmentation strategies, promotional campaigns, brand-building messages, trigger and lifecycle communications, personalization initiatives, and innovation efforts.
Lead the ideation and management of the strategic roadmap for the email program, partnering with leadership on the prioritization of key initiatives that support critical business needs and evolve the program through customer-centric innovation
Deliver desired engagement and revenue results while engendering long-term brand loyalty and driving customer retention
Collaborate with customer marketing and analytics teams to build segmentation strategies and testing pipelines that increase overall relevancy and productivity of our email program; leverage performance insights and results to inform go-forward strategies
Partner closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization (including brand marketing, performance marketing, merchandising, planning, finance, creative, operations, stores, and loyalty) to ensure cross-functional alignment and understanding of email plans
Serve as key liaison for vendor relationships (including email service providers, personalization vendors, and deliverability solutions); communicate business priorities and manage project timelines to ensure initiatives are launched on-time and on-budget
Oversee trigger and lifecycle emails, ensuring emails are regularly updated to reflect current business priorities and are keeping pace with industry trends and customer expectations
Partner with loyalty marketing team to drive strategic integration of loyalty priorities throughout email program
Support team and peers throughout executional workstreams, including but not limited to updating wireframes and messaging calendars, effectively partnering with digital operations, reviewing emails and tests prior to deployment, and assisting in planned and ad hoc reporting and analyses
Manage, develop, and retain talent


6-8 years of relevant experience in email and digital marketing
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Retail/e-commerce experience at a consumer-facing brand required
Exceptional understanding of all aspects of email marketing
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar enterprise-level email platform
Proven track record of driving innovation and testing within the channel
Team player with a collaborative mindset
Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities and timelines
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership
Strong work ethic and positive can-do attitude
Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
Proven ability to draw insights from data
Highly proficient with Excel & PowerPoint
Understanding of InDesign a plus
