Job description

Job Summary:

  • The Manager, Global Marketing is responsible for supporting all Lip related and exclusive launches for the Asia region, with a focus on China/Travel Retail programs.

  • This position is responsible for implementing the new launch planning process, as well as driving cross-functional collaboration with Product Development, Packaging, Creative, Merchandising, Education, and Communication in the development of cohesive regional strategies.

  • The position will require in depth research of the China consumer on Shiseido, partnering with the International Business Development team and working with the local market to understand key competitive trends.

  • This position is responsible for developing the annual Sampling offer and Bundle calendar in partnership with Product Development, to support the business across key regions.

  • This position will lead strategic cross category Global Marketing projects, including the annual Pricing global review project, Discontinuation Plan and Add/Delete process.

  • This position is responsible for providing a range of on-going analysis across product and category performance for key global markets, portfolio productivity, competitive and innovation calendar global sales projections.

  • Position reports to Senior Manager Global Marketing (Color)

  • Essential Job Duties:

    Launch management

    • Directly manage Asia exclusive Color and Gifting launches in the calendar, focusing on China/Travel Retail holidays and exclusive programs. Position will oversee developing the regional strategy, being responsible for the elaboration of briefs as well as the point person for internal teams.

    • Manage project for upfront new launch planning according to process in collaboration with the Project Management team and the Executive Director Global Marketing, Color & Gifting

      • Organize new product launch cross- functional meeting

      • Follow up on deliverables with various teams

      • Develop launch key documents (Launch strategy decks, forecasting decks, Launch feedback report)

      • Ensure consistent message across all internal documents (bulletins, marketing decks, retailer presentation)

      • Sampling and Bundle Calendar

        • Develop, in partnership with Product Development team, the annual Sampling and Bundle product offer to support regional needs and drive additional business.

        • Be the point person to communicate with cross functional teams and ensure timelines are met.

        • Pricing

          • Conduct annual pricing analysis and elasticity modeling to ensure the portfolio is competitively priced and propose future price adjustments.

          • This position is responsible for providing a range of on-going analysis across product and category performance for key global markets, portfolio productivity, competitive and innovation calendar global sales projections.

          • Discontinuation Plan and Add/Delete

            • Manage the Add/Delete and low SKU productivity workstreams with key cross-functional teams, meeting key deliverables and overall timing.

            • Support Executive Director Global Marketing with relevant analysis to ensure productive assortment across all Color categories.

            • Cross-category Analysis

              • Provide team with forecasting guidance for new launches based on like-as product launches within the portfolio and/or competitively in key target markets.

              • Provide analytics and key insights to team to support category growth recommendations, MOB and new launch projections.

              • Track competitive launches that are relevant to the business' priorities and future innovation plan.

              • Brand Communications

                • Support the Executive Director Global Marketing in the development of decks for

                  • Strategic planning, mid-term plan

                  • Marketing deep dives in brands, categories and launches from other brands

                  • Regional Visual Merchandising solutions

                  • Ad Hoc Marketing presentations

                  • Qualifications:

                    • College degree, 4+ years of work experience in marketing or business analytics.

                    • A passionate, energetic team-oriented individual with interpersonal skills

                    • Strong analytical, strategic thinking skills, ability to structure presentations

                    • Strong project management skills, structured, sense of respect of timeline

                    • Attention to details, ability to work independently, reliable

                    • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback.

                    • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.

                    • Software expertise - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
