About the ELC CART Team
The CART team, Customer Acquisition, Retention and Technology, joins the Marketing, Merchandising and Analytics functions to provide strategic focus on consumer segments as key business drivers, and align merchandising programs/content to maximize sales opportunities.
The proliferation of data and technology is reshaping the digital landscape. The budding consumer information available has created a demand for more segmented approaches so that marketers can engage audiences defined by specific interests and behaviors. Additionally, targeting must be achieved meaningfully across devices, points of sale, and geographies. This surge has ensued due to the embrace of the consumer audience. As our 1-to-1 marketing programs grow, this role will help to play a key role in developing a cohesive, customer journey-oriented audience management strategy.
Partner with channel managers, brand owners and technology teams (data scientists, architects, product managers and engineers) to execute and constantly improve our audience programs. This role serves many internal customers across the organization.
Manager, Global Online Merchandising, Audiences and Site Experience
Responsible for overall audience strategy, connecting site experience with customer journeys. Supports broader Online Content and Merchandising strategies, roadmap, and team.
- Inform and lead roadmap for data activation that will enhance cross channel consumer messaging, develop use cases and implement in partnership with market and online brand teams Develop digital audience targeting roadmaps to evolve the organization's audience targeting capabilities
- Inform omnichannel site experience roadmap and messaging; leverage insights to action for POCs and broad rollouts
- Support key strategic initiatives to drive site engagement, experience, and traffic
- Analyze, segment, and activate audience-based, cross-channel targeting
- Create audiences of statistical relevancy based on website behavior and develop strategies to support:
- On-site user experience, .e.g. Proactive Live Chat Messaging
- On-site A/B, Multivariant testing opportunities
- Use predictive analytics, segmentation, and decision engines to create, activate, and optimize audiences and new lifecycle email opportunities
- Behavioral insights: develop insights based off of customer paths and page popularity and create recommendation on common characteristics for stickiness
- Augment 2nd and 3rd party data to develop richer audience profiles for prospecting
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the translation of business requirements for new workflows and operations
- Train internal teams on audience selection execution, and audience orchestration opportunities
- Lead and monitor orchestration and site experience POCs and pilots to determine success metrics and influence portfolio strategies
- Develop strategies for elevating high touch services and tools


- Bachelor's Degree in quantitative or business field
- Deep understanding of customer data, audience selection technologies (Campaign management tools, Audience selection tools, DMPs, CDPs, etc.), and messaging tools (Braze, Adobe Campaign)
- Deep understanding of and experience with measurement technologies, primarily Google Analytics
- At least 5 years of experience in retail direct to consumer marketing
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations; take a high level assignment and distill
- Motivation and aptitude for learning new skills quickly
- Desire to work on both technical and non-technical projects
- Ability to manage many different kinds of work
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent ability to work cross functionally and with larger teams to drive business outcomes
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to optimize time management in order to meet all deadlines

- Experience with reporting tools such as Looker, Microstrategy or Tableau a plus
- Experience with SQL and creating SQL queries a plus
