Manager Global Procurement - Facilities Management

Job description

- Ensure that commercial and business relationships and engagements with suppliers are handled according to policies, commercials, risks and procurement area related best practices for the Facilities Management global procurement area in scope
- Facilitate relevant strategies definition and deployment whilst ensuring visibility and transparency of spend for the Facilities Management global categories in scope
Key Relationships:
- Internal: business partners and stakeholders in relevant supporting functions
- External within supplier organization: executives, key account managers, legal counsel


- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts, like TCO and life cycle of products/services, business partnering
- Knowledge of supply base per procurement area and availability of products/services, bottleneck criteria (market and pricing), cost levers, savings and procedural best practices
- Ability to drive procurement strategy and setup supplier selection and management
- Ability to support develop sourcing strategies in order to face market trends
- Knowledge of stakeholder and supplier relationship management concept, employment contracts, company agreements, claim management, liability, warranty and (inter)national procurement related legislation
- Capability to independently interact throughout the adidas Group
- Project and process management knowledge and experience
- Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Action-oriented and solution-minded team player with high degree of self-management
- Proficiency in MS Office and preferably SAP MM/SRM
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Travel of up to 25%
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal
- 3-5 years' experience in similar or adequate role in procurement environment, preferably with project or supplier management elements.
