Job description

Leadership responsibility for the development, implementation, and execution of Global strategies for transportation-commerce / Omni-Channel and Parcel delivery modalities, with spend responsibility greater than $90 million annually. Responsible for selection and performance of all suppliers within the parcel transport modes. Support business unit objectives, which include setting strategic vision and ensuring the implementation of E-commerce and Omni-Channel supply and delivery strategies. These strategies include carrier management, routing logic, contract management with Global Indirect Procurement and legal. Job Description (continued) KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Decision Making - Indicate type of decisions typically made and the overall impact of those decisions. Problem Solving - Indicate the nature of problems regularly encountered and the complexity of the solutions. Independence of Action and Accountability - Indicate the general degree of independence which may range from closely monitored to setting direction. Budget Responsibility - Indicate degree of financial accountability. Include actual amount of operating budget and/or cost savings. Include net sales plan responsibility, if applicable. Leadership - Indicate management responsibility including planning for the department's future needs, operations, hiring, performance management, salary decisions, talent planning, etc. (i.e., one team, multiple teams, etc.).
- Work collaboratively throughout the E-commerce & Omni-Channel supply chain to drive cost, quality and supply improvements through Carrier management, standardization, and negotiations for assigned modalities. (20%)
- Develop, advocate, and implement strategies for Omni-Channel deliveries. This includes understanding of all potential delivery options for consumers- products order online and in store for delivery to stores, residences, drop-off points and other locations as determined by Brand and E-Commerce strategies. Must bring forward concepts to support non-traditional methods of delivery using all potential options to develop comprehensive Omni-Channel delivery strategy. (20%)
- Lead Supplier negotiations to ensure best overall cost position for the Organization for parcel/Ecommerce and Omni-Channel transport requirements. Negotiate, develop and approve contracts, agreements, supplier direction and business awards. Have contract validated with legal and Global Indirect Procurement to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines. (10%)
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry best practices and technology trends and educate team members and business partners as needed. Work with relevant internal departments on strategies related to changing global regulatory compliance requirements, logistics and environmental best practices. (10%)
- In collaboration with our internal stakeholder groups, evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new concepts as dictated by our long-term global supply chain strategy. Proactively identify and develop an agile transport network for the Ecommerce-Omni- Channel modes and parcel category. (10%)
- Develop staff through training and other development strategies to ensure the efficient execution of business objectives. Maximize the staff's potential, to the benefit of the individual and the company. (10%)
- Develop and lead the Supplier and utilization strategy including all truck/parcel routing guides for the different services performed with all internal/external stakeholders. Establish service, financial and inventory targets within assigned modes. (5%)
- Utilize available systems tools and processes to optimize sourcing, routing order logic, supplier activities and efficiencies. Work collaboratively with team members to prioritize and drive implementation. (5%)
- Lead the budget process across business units for assigned modes. (5%)
- Support sustainability efforts within assigned modes. (5%)
Q

Profile

- SAP or similar Supply Chain experience preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with a logical approach to problem solving.
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking ability, and researching skills.
- Great communication skills with the ability to function with minimal supervision
- Must have a "can-do" and "will-do" attitude with respect to accomplishing corporate and department goals. As this is a lead role, the incumbent must be able to understand different regional cultures. Must also have demonstrated management/supervisory experience.
- Direct transportation and e-commerce fulfillment experience is required.
- Must be able to think strategically and align cross-functionally with all internal stakeholders.
- Experience with Lean Process techniques preferred.
