Job description

Job Summary This position is integral to Smashbox & Glamglow's efforts to maximize data and creativity to drive customer education, satisfaction, and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of email marketing, a strong analytics bias with the ability to structure tests and assess performance, and be creative by nature - consistently seeking new and innovative ways to leverage customer information, content, and Smashbox & Glamglow's unique selling points to develop engaging, differentiated, and actionable campaigns. You will work closely with the Executive Director, Global eCommerce to provide support and execute on digital strategies as it relates to loyalty and retention programs. In this position you will be responsible for crafting weekly marketing messages, maintaining email and sms marketing calendars, and tracking campaign performance through reporting and analysis. This role involves heavy collaboration & coordination with marketing, education, social and merchandising team members. Key Responsibilities Develop marketing campaigns and programs that drive active user engagement, product adoption, and subscription revenue Set email marketing strategy, based on company goals and priorities, track performance, manage reporting, and develop recommendations based on findings Set up email templates, manage QA and deploy campaigns for product launches, feature announcements, and seasonal promotions Design and build automated email nurture programs across the customer life-cycle Analyze campaign results and customer behavior to identify actionable opportunities for upsell, increased subscriber revenue and improved customer retention. Evaluate responses to email creative (Click stream, CTR, Open %, web traffic, etc.) Evaluate ROI / differing response of target segments to specific campaigns Assess response by channel (email, on-device, etc.) Source data, customer inputs, and content as information and inspiration for initiatives - leveraging insights from across customer input channels - including Customer Experience, Community (self-moderated customer forum), reviews, and user stories / testimonials. Develop and manage monthly and quarterly reports that highlight key insights and strategic learnings. Develop thorough analysis of key audience segments to identify opportunities for increased engagement. Work closely with product managers and the marketing team to build campaigns, test offers / messaging, and maximize the performance of initiatives. Translate analytical findings into clear, easily understandable, actionable insights that drive strong business strategy. Understand and lead the lifecycle of digital campaign creation from creative development to execution. Support daily business operations as it relates to email, sms and loyalty marketing. Coordinate the design, development, and content creation for email, sms and more. Coordinate, execute, and report on email acquisition and sms strategies including on-site email acquisition and facebook lead generation. Regularly research and maintain competitor analyses as it relates to customer relationship management. Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to team members on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels Manage schedules, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon. Facilitate AB Testing, segmentation, and audience building in collaboration with Executive Director, Global eCommerce and Sr. Manager, Global eCommerce Identify KPIs and track performance metrics for email and sms mail programs. Utilize these key insights to guide business strategies and decisions Own and maintain marketing calendars as it relates to retention ensuring that all team members are up to date on the latest changes Q

Profile

Desired Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree preferred Minimum five years of experience of initiating, managing, and analyzing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, base marketing, and CRM. A demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end email campaigns, from audience segmentation to email creative development, to deployment and measurement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and self-edit campaigns, present results in an easily understandable and actionable manner to all levels of the company, and lead team discussions around campaign strategy and best practices. Outstanding critical thinking skills and attention to detail and be able to carry out complex analysis that drives sizable business impact. Strong familiarity with email marketing platforms - e.g. Braze, Bronto, data segmentation tools - e.g. Simon Data, and other back-end systems integral to the development of email marketing campaigns. A clear ability to source and effectively use data and customer information intelligently to increase campaign relevance and performance. Advanced MS Excel skills. Proficiency with MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) required. Basic HTML/CSS Skills Marketing Automation Systems (Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce Pardot or similar)
