Job description

Efficiency Goals (70%) Key goal: Oversee Pack & Fill operations to ensure Resources are running efficiently. Drive the implementation of TPM Techniques within the day to day operation in order to reduce downtime, improve uptime, minimize frequent stops and improve equipment availability and utilization. Works very closely with the leadership team to establish the Reliability Strategy. This includes the appropriate programs, policies, procedures and management systems to drive improved reliability performance with the lowest long term cost of ownership. Utilize and support systems that will drive the focus on Equipment Reliability Tracking, monitoring Mean Time between Failure, Root Cause Failure Analysis and drive Computerized Maintenance Management Systems on a cycle based manner. Be able to develop and train Maintenance Supervisors, Floor Maintenance Technicians; provide effective Training of certified personnel and Skill develop programs that will drive and improve productivity and flexibility in cross training. Define and develop required communication and rollout plan for addressing asset reliability deficiencies. Work collaboratively to ensure quality system improvements. Assists in identifying, communicating and resolving early-stage supplier quality problems. Deliver sustainable cultural and behavioral changes across the business to build the right relationship between TPM within a CI Lean culture. Ability to lead, coach, mentor and influence employees and business partners alike. Drive results through effective communication, collaboration and accountability Develop talent to full potential through training, consistent feedback and coaching Assist in evaluating performance of employees, make recommendations for improvement, and apply the corrective action process, as required Manage scheduled preventive maintenance to drive the highest customer service level Manage resource changeovers to ensure target times are being met. Ensure resources are available that will produce efficiency and a quality product from start to finish Assist the facilitation of team meetings and forums to share information Perform all other duties as assigned which may become necessary to support departmental/organizational objectives Provide feedback and recommendations on equipment changes/installations Continuous Improvement Goals (30%) Key goal: Use LEAN tools to drive improvements within the Department Strong use of Continuous Improvement methodologies. Support efforts to meet or exceed our Quality, Delivery and Cost performance expectations Lead departmental strategy, innovation and continuous improvement while embracing change Engage the team and lead the implementation of Lean tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, OEE, etc.). Environmental Health and Safety goals (At All Times) Key goal: Eliminate accidents. Mentor line personnel to support this goal. Ensure our environmental goals are being met. Monitor and assure a safe work environment through process adherence and hazard elimination/mitigation(PPE, Lockout/Tag-out, Machine Guarding, etc.) and hazard elimination/mitigation Monitor and assure a safe work environment through process adherence Proactively identify and resolve safety and ergonomic concerns for their line. Actively mentor employees to utilize proper ergonomic related equipment. Engage in site wide safety programs (BBS) Produce High Quality finished goods (At All Times) Key goal: Produce products that meet all quality expectations and eliminate rejections. Monitor and assure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adherence to defined procedures Perform other duties as assigned.


Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills Must demonstrate a desire and ability to lead other people Must be familiar with TPM Techniques within day to day operations in order to reduce downtime. Must possess a strong use of continuous Improvement methodologies, to align reliability efforts with, and support existing programs to meet or exceed our Quality, Delivery and Cost performance expectation. Must be able to apply root cause analysis for problem solving Well versed in equipment automation, PLC Logic Control, Robotics, Servo Drive Systems, CMMS, MRO Storeroom Management and Automated Packaging Designs.
