Job Summary

The key role of the Marketing Manager is to partner with the Executive Director of Marketing in leading the growth and development of the Clé de Peau Beauté brand for the US market. The Marketing Manager develops and executes marketing strategies and programs to achieve brand objectives and maximize growth potential.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to the overall brand marketing plans and strategies for the US market.
  • Lead category, pricing, and competitive analysis to identify best practices, trends, and opportunities.
  • Key liaison and partner with Sales (sell-in and sell through) to develop impactful Omni-channel marketing and promotional activation plans for customers to achieve sales objectives and conduct regular store visits.
  • Define and implement retailer marketing programs, including managing calendar of new and core products, sampling, merchandising, promotional programs, and Co-Ad.
  • Manage marketing presentations to retailer partners and meeting prep.
  • Lead development of seasonal set programs. Create assortments, analyze COGs, and value, and make recommendation for seasonal quantities.
  • Act as liaison with HQ in Japan to fulfill requests including monthly internal and competitive sales reporting, product development feedback, forecasts and other topics as needed.
  • Oversee the development and production of all locally produced elements. Accountable for all milestones within the Creative Calendar & documented Creative Request Process are met from initiation to completion with the highest level of accuracy in all details related to individual projects. Manage the timeline throughout process to ensure that marketing elements are delivered on time and in line with set budget expectations.
  • Manage assembly process ensuring development and accuracy of components and on time delivery. Communicate details (bill of materials) of promotional and finished good assembly needs to internal group. Issue seasonal allocation instructions to ensure on time delivery of marketing elements to counter.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising team on seasonal updates (units, case line) and in-store visual updates. Submit VMR's and CRF's to initiate all projects.
  • Gather qualitative feedback from the field to determine performance and impact of marketing programs. Incorporate findings with quantitative results to improve future programs.

  • 5+ years marketing experience in beauty, retail, or luxury experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Master of execution. Meticulous organization, excellent communication and consistent follow-through are a necessity.
  • Detail oriented with a strong sense of urgency and ability to manage deadlines with speed and accuracy.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and ability to work with people from cross functional departments - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude.
  • Embraces both big picture objectives and has impeccable follow through and time management skills
  • Organization and prioritization with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge on current marketing trends, media industry news, competitive marketplace, and retail innovation.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Word.
  • NPD reporting experience a plus.
