Job description

Core Description:

The Manager of US PR & Influencer Marketing is responsible for managing the development and execution of press and influencer strategies for Covergirl and Rimmel US to maximize print and online coverage, garner positive influencer sentiment, drive trade and consumer engagement and support brand business and sales goals.

This position will serve as the key contact for brand PR activity, manage agencies and act as the internal liaison with local marketing, social media and content teams. The Manager of US PR & Influencer Marketing should be adept at prioritizing and managing multiple brands and tasks in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent knowledge of the influencer and editorial space. The position calls for an enthusiastic, creative thinker who collaborates well with team members and can maximize results through cross-platform and cross-channel campaign planning.

The Manager of US Influencer Marketing should be tapped in culturally and possess experience in creating influencer / PR plans and strategy, producing special events, excellent writing and story-development skills, the ability to effectively communicate results and have a genuine passion for building brands. Experience inspiring and working with teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

PR/INFLUENCER MARKETING

  • Work with agency partner on the development of annual PR and Influencer strategies for both the Covergirl and Rimmel US businesses.
  • Create IM/PR tactical plans in partnership with agency to support key Covergirl and Rimmel US marketing initiatives as well as everyday business priorities.
  • Adapt Global PR & Influencer plans and toolkits for US strategic priorities.
  • Ensure excellence in end-to-end planning, execution and measurement of efforts.
  • Cultivate and manage key industry and influencer relationships.
  • Engage with Coty Corporate Communications as needed to align program strategies and messaging.
  • Oversee shared direct report.
DIGITAL

  • Work with Digital/Social and Media teams to create impactful influencer campaigns and assets for all launches and media resupport priorities.
  • Collaborate with US Trade Marketing and E-Commerce partners on influencer programming in support of in-store and e-commerce initiatives.
  • React in real time to capitalize on opportunistic events, such as boosting social hype with paid media.
  • Initiate inventive ways to use new media and social channel strategies and events that align clearly to brand DNA and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing partners to maximize the impact of Influencer plans.
PRESS KITS

  • Partner with agency to develop unique and impactful press materials to support brand launches and key initiatives - including press releases, Q&As and media alerts - providing proper information to the media that also surprises & delights to earn coverage.
  • Partner with agency on development of creative influencer and editor mailings that drive brand coverage and entice product trial.
EVENTS

  • As needed, direct local PR events to introduce new products and campaigns to key media, influencers and consumers.
AGENCY MANAGEMENT AND BRAND BUDGETS

  • Manage agency partner on all PR & Influencer activities throughout the year.
  • Develop annual Scope of Work, inclusive of key agency deliverables, KPIs and budget.
  • Maintain oversight of agency budgets, working with agency as needed to reallocate funding in line with shifting priorities and new opportunities.
  • Lead quarterly performance review process for agency, rating agency against aligned KPIs and identifying areas of optimization.
  • Forecast, manage and reconcile brand budgets, planning and prioritizing appropriate activations for earned and amplified media.

Profile

Application Pre-Requisites:
  • 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Communications or Related Field

  • 4-7 years of Public Relations and/or related Influencer Marketing experience

  • Beauty experience
