Develop strategic Public Relations and Influencer / Brand Ambassador plans on behalf of the brand.
Manage day-to-day operations of the Public Relations internal agency & campaign. This includes media and influencer relations, development of press materials, coverage tracking and reporting, sample fulfillment and gifting opportunities, vendor management and budget tracking.
Responsible for managing & developing one direct report.
Own & manage relationship-building activities that support key product lifecycle and/or campaign milestones for Bath and Body Works' body care and home brands, acting as the brand contact for media and brand ambassador / influencers.
Define and present the brand's PR strategy and key initiatives to gain leadership alignment.
Partner closely with BBW.com and Stores Strategic Marketing teams to integrate Public Relations and Influencer strategies into key campaign launches online, as well as tracking impact of PR programs on web sales and traffic.
Own seamless integration of PR and Influencer strategies to amplify brand messages; collaborate with cross-functional partners (social media, BBW.com, merchants) to support key brand stories and align PR initiatives with product priorities and upcoming key launches.
Conceptualize and oversee development of written materials, including fact sheets, press releases, media alerts, pitches and presentations of PR initiatives.
Lead development of Public Relations master calendar as well as reports / reporting binders (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual), including ongoing coverage updates to share with the leadership team.
Integrate & action insights from campaign hindsight into future PR initiatives.
Continuously monitor media activity to understand trends across the world; act quickly to incorporate new marketing and emerging media into Bath and Body Works campaigns and innovate brand pitches to media.
Lead vendor, tools and agency vetting and selection process PR and Influencer programs analysis and project-based partnerships.
Some travel required.
5+ years of public relations leadership experience in-house or at an agency
Proven track record securing strategic media coverage and executing successful PR campaigns
Experience working in beauty, consumer goods, fashion or retail industries preferred
Strong team player and positive, proactive attitude with great interpersonal skills; ability to brief senior leaders, foster relationships with internal and external teams, and be solid support for immediate team members
Direct people management experience is a plus
Ability to think innovatively and creatively and change course if necessary, to achieve desired results
Ability to multitask and project manage to focus and edit on key business priorities for yourself and your team
Ability to work, lead & collaborate remotely
Results oriented, must be willing to take ownership of all assigned responsibilities and adhere to deadlines
Solid understanding of media relations, event management social media and experience managing Influencer programs preferred
Proficient in Mac, Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote with a working knowledge of PR/Social tools (ie Meltwater, Netbase, Sprout Social, etc.)
