Job description

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

  • Obtain samples from design for customer review through entire process to help with beginning of the initial sales presentation through final production.
  • Work directly with the design team, sales team and production team to create initial buys.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all compliance issues for accounts.
  • Work with Buying team to ensure product dates, delivery and styles are met.
  • Enter and maintain information in Centric systems and pass information to the materials team, production team and sales team.
  • Work directly with customs and inbound team to ensure shipments from factories are booked and on best possible vessel; Track incoming shipments.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships by proactively responding to inquiries, taking action and ensuring customers understand information and are happy with results. Find ways to improve procedures and guidelines which improve customer service and reduce expenses.
  • Resolve customer issues; Investigate, developing solutions, prepare reports and make recommendations to management and customers.
  • Provide product information to customers.
  • Work with production team to get fabric contents, country of origin, care information and carton information.
  • Assist with driving sales by resolving order issues - this includes obtaining orders from customers
  • Prepare and provide sales and buyer sales tracking reports.
  • Track inventory and shipping
  • Work directly with warehousing staff to:
    • Track incoming shipments and track containers and vessels
    • Work with warehousing staff to direct shipments to proper warehouse locations; Determine if goods should stay in a certain location or move to a different warehouse; Partner with trucking/transportation teams to move goods in a timely and cost-efficient way.
    • Get tallies and work with our inventory team to get quantities received into correct warehouse
    • Partner with warehouse staff on prioritizing palletizing:
      • Prepare customer shipments and track once it is enroute to customer.
      • Ensure customer compliance details are met and followed
      • Arrange for trucks by working directly with transportation companies


Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar role within the Apparel Industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to find "out of the box" solutions.

  • Exceptional team player.

  • Strong Excel reporting and data management skills

  • Knowledge of SAP
